The Seals

Hi all,

First post, without book in front of me, so forgive any vagueness that may be present.

Thoughts on Egwene's gathering. The crucial part about this is my opinion is the timing of Rand setting this, after the clarity and 'insight?' he gained on Dragonmount, this is where he started to fully comprehend the task at hand. So although Egwene may believe she will control the situation, it is only a way for Rand, to gather all armies and start a controlled assault on the blight, while taking the most powerful channelers to SG, with the maidens of course haha. This obviously will depend on the Black Tower outcome, which I can't fathom to predict now.

Whether or not an argument takes place, I believe in the smashing of the seals, but also have my fair share on thoughts about them.

We know they were made from the AoL, of cuendillar, so unbreakable?, but for them to weaken such as this, there has to be another force connected to them, so I agree with the thoughts that this is the DO's way to touch the world. But a contradictory thought on the seals themselves, is there similarities between the seals and the Choeden Kal, are they both access keys to a greater power. Is the cuendillar an actual representation of the condition of the seal surrounding the bore, with each broken seal, the cuendillar breaks to signal how close the DO is to being released, can this explain the careless approach to the chosen's pursuit of them, because it's in vain. Or are these just questions of ignorance haha...

One extra note, on the sealing of the bore, we see a fable very similiar to that of Adam and Eve, with God trying to shelter the darkness from the world. If the DO is defeated, does this mean that the Creator will be released as well, because of his opposition to the DO, as we see above in the dualistic approach to these questions. We have to remember, the DO'd death does not end evil, it just ends his manipulation of, and projection of evil. Remember somewhere in ToM, again no book sorry, that there is talk of all evil not being related to the DO. Will the killing of the DO, leave man to their own vices and live in a time of inward moral judgement. Is this Mr. Jordan's understanding of the 'Death of God' argument from Neitzche? Is this the first turn of the wheel after the current age, on the way to the others, before the AoL, where the Creator and Dark One are at war again?

Now I ramble sorry.
