So where to begin? My third (re)introduction post on as many boards. I am returning from a long LoA (think 8 years or so), and I'm stoked to be a part of Dragonmount again. I'm really looking forward to RPing again; working on a bio for a Warder character now, just waiting for DM8.0 to be up and running before getting really serious. And I'm excited to be a part of this social group too! I just filled out the application thingy and am now just waiting to see all these secretive boards appear.

 

Hmmm... some info on me. My actual name is Scott, The Beat Poetic was the name I thought of for an indie-electro-worldbeats-fusion band that still hasn't formed anywhere but in my head. I'm 26, in the middle of a BA in Global Studies with a focus on Environmentally Sustainable Practices. My girlfriend and I are moving at the end of this month to a new city and a new school. We've finally found the rental of our dreams and plan on staying there for the years remaining in our schooling. I live on Vancouver Island, our new place is 1 block from the ocean on two sides.

 

Some things you can look forward to hearing about in my random posts:

1)Schooling! As I will be flooded with schoolwork, you can look forward to the odd venting post about my studies.

2)Gardening! As soon as we move on the 1st I'm installing a gigantic veggie garden.

3)Rock climbing! Other than my girlfriend/life partner, and WoT, this is my all consuming passion in life.

 

Well, I guess that's plenty. I should really get back to work. :D

Welcome back to DM! I hope we live up to what you have built up in you're head! I know some people have been around that long so there may be some familiar faces, or people to reminisce about the days of yore. I'm sure you will meet lots of people who have similar interests (like me for one :)) You should stop by all the Ajahs and say hello, we all like guests...Definitely stop by the Gray's for your gardening fix!

What characters did you have back then? If you were around 8 years ago then I might remember you. Slim chance, due to me having a terrible long term memory, but who knows, right? ;D

Hehehe... both nicknames sound fine! I like Poe IRL, but I'd have to say my favorite poet would either be Robert Frost or Al Purdy. :-\ I don't know where that leaves you for deciding upon a nickname though. Hmmm... The name of my warder was Sol Trieth and I was actually bonded to Ladria until I had to leave because of my mom getting sick. At least, I'm pretty sure it was Ladria. I sent her a PM as soon as I saw that she was still around. I had two other characters but I can't remember their names, my Atha'an Miere character was Master of the Blades though. At the time the Atha'an Miere were a stand alone Organization but were suffering from a real lack of membership, so I rose through the ranks fairly quickly as I was extremely active. My other character was in the Children of Light, he was Spymaster and we were developing a secret sect in the Children that dealt primarily with spying and assassination. It seemed cool at the time , but looking back I think we might have been deviating from the books a little bit ??? .

Ahh good to meet you! I also came back a few months ago from a time long, long ago - about 6 years I think. I don't know you but I hope to amend that now!
