Mat and Perrin and Perrin and Mat and Mat and Perrin: A discussion.

Up till now these two ta'veren have had it relatively easy , compared to Rand, when dealing with Forsaken and Darkfriends. This seems to have changed since Knife of Dreams. In which both Mat and Perrin suffer attempts on their lives by darkfriends. Also in Gathering Storm, Verin claims that Perrin and Mat and now in greater danger than ever before.

 

So we know that Mat is heading to the Tower of Genji and Perrin will be doing something with the wolf inside and ghosts from his past but how will the Forsaken and Darkfriends harass them?

 

It seems like it might be something new or something that has only recently set in motion from the way Verin was talking. So we could maybe rule out Noal , not saying he isn't a darkfriend or that he won't do something, as he has been around for a bit now.

 

I reckon Moggie and Cyndane will be sent after them. Moridin's two lackeys will deal with Rand's two bestest buds. Moggie after Perrin, connection TAR, and Cyndane after Mat, connection finnland that is if Cyndane id Lanfear.*

So what do you guys think? Or do you even care? If you don't please think of the ta'veren. Will someone please think of the ta'veren!

There has already been some discussion on this subject. Moridin has tasked Cyndane and Moghedian with dealing with/eliminating the two other Taverens. Perrin has been mostly hidden till now, but as he is out in the open, we will definitely see some attempts on his life. I do believe the Forsaken's assassin will be set loose on him.  As for Mat, he has been ideling for the last month in Camelyn (building his dragons).

 

It is highly possible that there will be attempts on his life and one such attempt may trigger the opening of Verin's letter/leaving to rescue Moiraine.

There has already been attempts on their lives in KoD. I just got the impression from Verin that there is something new in the offering for them.

When you say the forsaken's assassin do you mean Slayer? He is kinda busy with Fain at the moment but I do think him and Perrin will meet but not as mark and assassin.

I didn't recall Moridin doing that, so thanks for clearing that up for me.

I was thinking we might see the cofrontation with Mat and whoever in Finnland. That would be interesting, especially if its Cyndane.
