Hello everyone,

My name is Keith and I started reading The Eye of the World in 1998 during my junior year in High School and finished A Crown of Swords before starting college in 2000.  Unfortunately my work load while in college prevented me from reading the rest of the series.  I repeatedly tried to continue reading over the next few years, but was never able to get very far.  It wasn't until the beginning of 2008 that things settled down and I got the time to finish reading the series.  It was when I finished reading Knife of Dreams that I went online to find out when the next book was being released that I found the dreaded news.  I learned that Robert Jordan had passed.  It is hard to put my feelings at that time into meaningful words.  The most profound feelings were a feeling shock and lost...  It was also around this time, that through further research I discovered that Brandon Sanderson was finishing the series.

When The Gathering Storm was released, I immediately purchased and read it.  My opinion is that Brandon Sanderson has done an amazing job of moving The Wheel of Time towards the conclusion that Robert Jordan had envisioned.  TGS also marked the first time that I attended a book signing for The Wheel of Time series.  It was an emotional day in which I got to meet Brandon and other readers and truly realized that I was not alone in my love for the series.  I also learned of the up-coming Jordancon 2010 and instantly decided I would attend.

Over the next few months I set my plans to attend Jordancon and constructed a costume to wear in honor of the series that I love and have been reading for 12 years.  In April, I attended Jordancon, my first con of any sort, and had a blast.  I even won the costume contest dressed as a trolloc.  I am glad I have taken the next step and have become a part of the WOT community and I look forward to many more good times with my fellow WOT reader.  I only wish I had been more active while Robert Jordan was still with us.  I will never forget him and the impact he has had on me.

So that is my story, and I want everyone to know I look forward to be part of this community.

Sincerely,

Keith
