Missed deadline: roll for penalty-(not revealed unless asked for)

        6 -      person with most votes gets killed

        1, 2, 3 -  Random with vote gets killed

        4 -      Random person is killed

        5-      No one is killed

 

I'm scared and I need my brother.  Has anyone seen him?

 

Something tells me that Aran'gar has a linked innocent/mafia role (one brother innocent, one brother mafia).  Something to file away for later, since if need be we should lynch Aran'gar to take out her brother at the same time.  It seems like a guaranteed mafia lynch.

Maybe it's the loss of blood but that still doesn't make much sense to me...

And what can we tell about the game mechanics from the rest of the rules?

 

Talking outside the thread: allowed, all live players may talk but dead players may not between themselves or to players still living

Dead not speaking to living is easily understandable but why not dead between themselves?

And what about the ramifications of a talk between live players?  ???

I never played a game without Mod Coroner Finder but I assume that means we have a legit Finder(s) who can give us role and/or alignments but what other role could there be to balance that?

Linked roles sometimes are told that they are linked but not told who to; one of their win conditions is finding their opposing number.  Like Barm's lover role in a game a while back.  He spent the first few pages proclaiming that he was "a lover, not a fighter" but the other member of the pair didn't catch on, if I remember correctly  ;D

Linked roles? Not so far fetched, however, I doubt one would be so vague. I would be more inclined to think that the person who pointed that particular finger is the one with a linked role.

 

I can't fault those who didn't notice the guy who kept saying, "I'm a lover, not a fighter." Because I didn't realize it either.

Since Ishy got lunched, it looks like most players are holding back and waiting to see what happens during the night. This is what most people do when they find themselves in an unknown situation. A few players are sticking out their necks and trying different ways to make others look guilty. This is what I find the most disturbing. There are some experienced players that say that they never vote on day one because there is no information and an innocent always gets killed.

 

Now we play a game where we won't get any information, even when somebody dies. So if there is usually no information on day one and we are not going to get any as players die, how are we supposed to figure out who is mafia? By looking to see who is using ways to manipulate other players. Who is putting words in other peoples mouths? Who is trying to herd the group?

 

Some people are around on the weekend, and some people are just playing and that always happens. But some people are trying to force the crowd to move in a direction for no reason, and to me that is what seems the most mafia like.

 

I don't have any evidence, and I am not going to be a hypocrite and point fingers, but I think that if we pay attention to tricks we get into trouble.
