[Wayfarer]

Bubble of Evil RP

 

Its placed in Andor, just outside of Caemlyn's outer wall. A fair with all sorts of entertainments quarterstaff bouts to archery and horseriding will be going on. Then of course, the following goes wrong.

 

- Dead coming to visit

- Pyromania with fire elementals running about

- Ribbons and pennants strangling people (hmm)

- Maybe a storm? Juxtapose sheets of rain pounding the earth while manlike figures made of fire run about. Plus lightning, lightning is cool.

- Have a few people swell up then explode, releasing a torrent of rats and other vermin that then proceed to mob people nearby.

 

Pretty harsh stuff. This RP will start on the 14th of May, and finish on the 21st. I'm going to post the actual setting a few days beforehand, give people time to arrive and whatnot. Then on the 14th, the bubble hits, all hell breaks loose.

 

On the 21st, the bubble will dissipate, that gives you the full week to post all the bubble shenanigans. Afterwards, IC we'll take stock of whats happened.

 

I know my character will be heading to the pub in an RP straight after the bubble one. Good chance to actually talk and meet fellow survivours if you want to :)

 

 

Wetlanders and Sandlovers RP

 

Another major RP which probably won't start this month, or if it does it'll start late. It was designed a long time ago, and its currently being revamped to make it more accessible.

 

Basic concept, the Aiel under the Dragon have taken Cairhien. They're enforcing their laws, they took their fifth, and due to the previous war they aren't really all that popular. The Rogues Guild (premier crime organisation in Cairhien) along with others are going to begin fighting back.

 

In the end it'll devolve into a full uprising, a bloody one at that. Lots of people die, which is always good for RP, and its better than the Cairhienin just submitting and even trying to emulate like wannabes like they do in the books.

 

This RP will be a special one of sorts. Its going to be limited insofar that not many PC's could really get involved. On the otherhand, this RP is going to lend itself to the use of TPC's, big time. With alot of people dying, especially at the end, its going to be all about story.

 

Will have more news, in particular about TPC spots, once things have been sorted.

 

 

Bowl of Winds RP

 

I was meant to have this outline done about a month ago or so. I'd feel bad, but being gifted with a lack of conscience, I'm able to survive for now :)

 

Alot of probs putting this together, but Muirenn is now free to help put the plan together with her research papers done, so we should see it done hopefully over the next week or two.

 

Seafolk, Kin, this'll be a good chance for you guys to shine. So keep an eye out for Bowl of Wind announcements :)

 

 

Rank/WS earning system

 

Alright, in my previous policy thing, I had a nice little spiel about how that stuff was earnt with RP's being done. Well, now I've actually gone and done something beyond talk :)

 

I've got a list of FL members, along with who their chars are, RP's completed, all that other stuff almost done. There's more tinkering needed, but its getting there.

 

How the system will work is when you complete an RP that for either rank or WS, PM me with the link and state whether each link/thread was just for rank advancement or also for WS. If all is good, your count goes up. If not, I message you back explaining why I'm being a gimp.

 

And no, you don't need to send me a PM after each RP, thats time consuming for everyone and you've got better things to do, like write and have fun. Once every few months though or whatnot, whenever you want to push up, just gather together all the RP's that you've done and send their links in one hit. My PM inbox doesn't clog up so quick, and you don't have to do a heap of running about.

 

At anyrate, I'll have the count and all that stuff up on a sticky when its done. A few of the numbers will be inaccurate for certain, but I'm sloppy like that :) That and in some cases I've boosted the number slightly based on the time they've been here, and in other cases I've lowered it like my own RP count. It all works out though.

 

 

General Commentary

 

Freelanders have been growing steadily. Not only in new members, but old members returning, which is good to see. Remember, if you've come back and aren't sure where to start in terms of RPing, best thing to do is just ask around on this board for who is interested and work from there.

 

Also, I need a couple of go getters to help with a few projects that are to get underway soon. If you're interested in helping out, PM me to let me know.
