The Twelth Book

Hi there,

First of all, this is my first post here, i have been a Robert Jordan fan for several years now, i believe when i got the first book i was no older than 12, and have read them as much as five times since, every time a new book is released, i feel the need to re-read all previous books.

I have recently heard of the unforunate incident which has befallen Robert Jordan's family, and, as many have before me, wish my condolences.  I have never kept up with much about Robert Jordan on the internet, and now, that the time is too late, i wish that i had.

I'm merely wondering what is happening in regards to The Twelth Book?  I have looked around on the internet, but thus far, have been unable to find out anymore other than that the decision has been left up to Harriet, and Tor Publications (i'm sorry if that is the incorrect name.)  I'm hopeing that the final book is coming out, as having spent many months of my life reading the series, i find myself not only friends with the characters, but almost felt myself being the characters, and living their life, and i can say with all honesty, that the Robert Jordan books are the only books that i have felt that kind of bond with.  For almost two years now, i have been desperately trying to figure out the ending, and i have thought through many different possible scenario's.  I hope that someone can maybe shed some light upon the situation, and i offer my deepest apologies to all those affected by the tradegy.

Many thanks for your time,

Andy.

Jason put it best, I think.

What I do know about A Memory of Light is that we need to give everyone time to figure out what’s going to happen with it next. Wilson has already revealed previously on RJ’s blog that Jim left some pretty detailed notes on what would happen. He, Harriet, and presumably Maria and the other assistants, all know the endings and secrets. There are both written notes and audio recordings of Jim saying what happened. (Wouldn’t it be cool to have that audio published with the final novel someday? Tor, are you listening?) How or when we’ll see A Memory of Light in published form needs to be worked out. Jim’s death is too recent and the wounds it left too raw to his family to say when the last volume will be completed. Time will provide us with the book we want, and the conclusion the series deserves. We just have to be patient.

Well, from the sounds of that it sounds as if there will be one in the future.  Thanks for that, i looked everywhere for information in regards to the book, but had been unable to, and started to worry that the series would be unfinished.  I will regret the series not being written by Robert Jordan, and it will feel weird reading the final book, however i have every confidence that it shall be written as good as the previous 11!

Once again i wish my condolences to the family and friends of Robet Jordan, should any read my messages.

Andy.
