Baltar's regime is what we always thought it would be, Vichy France. Gaeta seems disillusioned by his hero. Apollo has gotten fat and seems married to Dee. Starbuck is married to Anders, who is STILL unmemorable. And she inexplicably gets along with the Tighs now. Roslin's back in school, CylonBaby survived, and Adama has a pornstache. Again.

Discuss.

I don't know what it is about it, but I can't really get into BG.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe it isn't a dream sequence after all. That is going to be one heck of a rescue/Exodus. How are they ever going to rebuild enough to pull it off? Will Roslin be the new Moses - again? I have a feeling that Anders will do something very heroic in the attempt, but will not make it. I can also see Baltar going totally over to the dark side and helping with the pursuit a la the original series. But will Adama ever find his razor, that is the question.

Media coverage/spoilers indicate that it is definitely NOT a dream. Ron Moore and his buddies wanted to shake things up dramatically for next season. They succeeded.

And I know Maj can't get into it, its Republicans in space. =)

But I like watching republicans! I've got one right here, in a cage. I poke it with a stick and watch it squirm

It's genius really, and an arc the show needs to take to keep things fresh. I was a bit concerned when I first watched the season finale but realized after much reflection that they can't keep getting chased every episode. We again do not know what to expect. Are the Cylons here to conquer.. or is this a rogue faction of Cylons led by the 'heros' to help the human race? Etc, etc. This is by far one of my favorite shows on TV and find myself giddy for the next installment. Did I say giddy?

I lament at lost potential storylines. Lee in command of the Pegasus and Starbuck as Galactica GAG were such big shake ups for the characters. I wanted to see how they adjusted to being in command, especially Starbuck who operates best on the fringes, pushing at conventions and being a pain in the rear for superior officers. We saw a bit of how she reacts in "Scar", when we see Kat take over as "the best pilot in the fleet" and I'd love to see more of her adjustment. I also wanted to see who the crew of the SS Abu Graib adjusts to having Lee, an outsider, taking command. I know that some of this will be dealt with in flashbacks over the course of the season, and I really like some of the issues raised by Baltar-as-willing-collaborator, rather than Cylon dupe.

She took my last name in real life and I took hers online.

I remember when we went to get our marriage license, the lady asked me if I wanted to take her name. I said no thanks. I wanted to stay Asian.

I don't think that the Pegasus has long for this universe seeing how badly both ships had fallen into disrepair and are critically under staffed. Pegasus will need to be canibalized as it would be too expensive otherwise to change all of the titles and programs and merchanizing and other stuff (also they probably don't want to deal with pictures being leaked to the press either). So Lee maybe out looking for a new job soon. I also see Starbuck dusting off her Cylon fighter flying skills as she leads a resistance on New Caprica and maybe training others how to be fly those living tin cans.

Just some thoughts.

I bet they take parts from one ship and make it into a newer, faster, more powerful ship called Galactica.

all the crew are merged.
