I PM'd Barm like Moggy suggested and am waiting to see if he answers my questions. If people are switching alts, then does the alignment/role stay with the alt?  Does anyone know (that is willing to tell!) That is one big question. I don't know what to think of Semi now. He seemed certain that he could self heal, but we see how that turned out. So we have two thoeries to look at so far. He was either a lying symp who lied to save his skin, or he could not block an assassin nightkill and did not know that. And we have a double kill, which shortens the number of days we have. I'm not much help right now, I know. Think I'll just wait for crazy Barmy to answer questions and maybe console Halima. We can't have any sad pandas out there.

Well, I can't say that im surprised that something like this happened.  It *is* the Nuthouse, after all.

So aparantly the question is, was Semi the Healer, or the Symp?  And what about Osan'gar?  Most likely a roleless innocent, but we wont know until endgame.

If people are switching alts, then it's certainly going to be more confusing.  I just found this in the Nuthouse sign-up thread, though:

All roles are assigned to specific accounts. All accounts will be given out completely randomly.

It's on page 6, I think.  If the roles are assigned to the accounts, then would some people have an extra advantage over those who haven't switched?  This is all just supposition - and very confusing -  as we have no other information on this yet.  If I'm wrong and misunderstood about the roles, or have misquoted Barm, then I apologize.  I guess I'm still getting the hang of these games.

To Moridin: are they trying to tell you something, you're missing that one final screw...

and wow two kills. Since Semi wasn't healed maybe she was the symp. I'm so confused now.

Oh Man, I'm soo confused right now.

How could Semi have died if self healed? I mean, I really don't think he was the symp, because he said he was the healer, 100%, with his Vemy account, when he was certain to get lynched.

Ugh.

And what the heck is this whole, switch-a-roo thing?

I think I AM slowly going crazy.

By the Great Lord of the Dark, that was, well scary.

If Semirhage was the Symp, why would s/he have been night killed?

Possiblitys:-

1) The Evil team did not realise the Symp was false claiming.

2)They did know and this was done to confuse the heck out of us, so while we ponder they get to slink in the background or whatever master plan they have.

3)The Assassin (if there is one) was paranoid and decided to test the 'healers' healing abilities

4)Barm has some flaming insane roles assigned which kill healers

However, I'm just not seeing this Symp idea, it does not really fit, in my mind

So if Semirhage was the Healer, that leaves how was s/he (and  Osan’gar) killed?

Possibilities:-

1)Semirhage actually did send in the night action during the day and thus it was not counted.

2)There is a night action blocker role, assigned to an Evil/Symp player, or someone who thought Semirhage was Evil or someone was playing about with there role. (I feel that I'm really leaning towards this explanation.)

3)Semirhage protected someone else and the Evil team figured this out.

4)A role that can 'ignore' the healing effect

5)The 'Nuthouse effect'. ( ;D Just thought that sounded nice and dramatic.) Some roles have reverse effect to that given, so the healer would end up killing

However factoring in the double kill as well then there are a couple of other things to think of.

a)Two Evil teams.

b)Trigger happy assassin.

c)Something else...it would seem that is all I got.

I might read back to see if i can garner anything from Semirhage's interactions with others, or perhaps non-interaction.

If we are allowed to switch roles/alignments with another player, ALL INNOCENTS SHOULD TAKE THIS OPTION

it just takes one innocent switching with an evil player for the identities of all of the evil players to become known (unless multiple evils switched).  Yes, you will lose as an evil, but you'll win as an innocent, which is the goal.

BTW, given the possibility that our healer killed himself, I think we need to consider whether the finder is also getting opposite readings.  Obviously, there's no way for us to know, but: [glow=green,2,300]finder, if you got a guilty reading on Semi, name yourself the target tonight.  If you get a guilty result, you'll know that either:

a) everyone you view comes up guilty (you're paranoid); or

b) everyone you view comes up the opposite of what they actually are (you're insane).

Either way, continue viewing others after tonight, as any "innocent" verdict you get would be proof of guilt[/glow]

I have no answer from Barm yet.

Asmodean may have hit on something by highlighting that Semi might not have understood the role, and in fact did not protect himself as he had thought. It would explain his alignment and death, I'm just not sure that a mod would let that happen without a set time limit. The other possibilities are there, but we don't really know enough yet to speculate.

Osan'gar might be explained by two evil teams, but it really would be crazy to let them both act each night. I thought that they usually traded nights.  It would not make any sense that an assassin would strike blindly on the first night, but maybe somebody else did not understand their role? Maybe Barm made it extremely difficult to understand any of the roles so he could provoke mistakes? Lanfear seems to have misunderstood hers as well.

Be'lal's suggestion to the finder to check themselves might be a good step towards learning something. I wonder if the same might be accomplished by checking a dead character, if that is allowed?

ATTENTION EVERYONE:

Now that my inbox has been flooded with PM's (I hate you Moggy, telling them to PM me? That's just cruel) I would like to inform you that the original intent of the name change was merely to throw you off for a couple of seconds when looking for the game, and that the exchange between Moggy and myself was simply Moggy having fun and my playing along. There are no switches of any sort.

Anyone got any idea what to do next?

Mwahahahahaha! Everyone knows they had a nice laugh after reading that statement. Right? Please say you did. Please? I know I enjoyed the confusion. :D

What?  I must have missed that.   :-\

No switches?  As I may have already said, nothing about this game could surprise me any more...*shakes head*

As for what next, I need to go over yesterday's events to see if anything can be seen, without thinking about switches this time.  That's if I haven't gone crazy already. ;)

Moggy, to say it mildly:

You're lucky you're already Moridin's lapdog.

Or i'ld have made you mine.

*bows in recognition that there may be revenge planned for this incident* That doesn't change how much fun it was to watch confused people try to figure it out.

*hums along to the Jeopardy theme song* Anyone care to come play?

That was a close one!  I really did not know what to think about switching, so I'm up for a laugh as long as it was just a joke! Getting on with the game, why don't some of the quiet players post. I'd like to hear from them before heading in any direction.

That's a nice invitation for the innocents to post the don't kill tonight list so that the mafia has no work to do tonight. ;)

On a serious note, I hate to say it, but it must be asked. Be'lal, tell us. What do you think about how our saving a player rather than handing out freebies turned out?

Guest Cyndane-Mafia

So does that mean we're not posting our suspects?  :-\

I'm interested to know this as well, Be'lal.
