Howdy all.  Long time fan of the novels looking to learn more in the lead up to the TV show release.  I will admit up front, I am not thrilled with many of the reveals to date.  Seems many of the little details are being changed and I am not fond of them.  As would be said in another fictional universe, I got a bad feeling about this.  I am trying to keep an open mind but when you love something, it is hard to see it change and expect it to be for the better.  I can promise I won't bash the production but I will compare it to the books.  They are my gold standard for Epic Fantasy and I don't take my standards lightly.  I can also promise, I won't attack posters for their opinions, everyone is entitled.  I just hope my opinions are treated the same.

Well, in my oppinion books are usually better anyways, doesn't mean one can't have fun with the series/films, as long as your expectations aren't set on book level? how are you finding DM thus far then?
