Kedyn yawned lazily as he lowered himself to the ground near the edge of the sword ring in the training fields. He rolled his kneck waiting for the very satisfying crack. Leaning back on his elbows Kedyn stifled another yawn and went through the same motions for his back. His joints begining to relax, Kedyn began to stretch and run through what he was going to be doing today. Miria's second lesson as it seemed like he had said before he was going to control most of her training himself.

Kedyn found himself smiling thinking of the new scout, his 'lover.' Which made him only laugh more. This ruse that Miria had fored him into was a nonstop source of amusement, and it had worked extremely well. Carnhain seemed to believe, even the commander had beleived when he had learned of it.

And although Kedyn nothing other than some rather playful banter had crossed between the two Kedyn was still wary of where this was leading. What had been going on between the two of them was much the same as what had happened with he and Lavena, and that scared Kedyn. And although he realized he should get on with his life in all aspects that one part was one he was most wary of. Going through that pain once had almost killed him, and Kedyn wasn't sure if he could another time.

Kedyn shook those darker thoughts out of his head and went back to his stretching, and waiting for his newest student.

Miria was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as she made her way to the training fields. She hated being idle, and so she was excited to be actively training that day, something different too. Kedyn had warned her that he was going to work him hard, but she had laughed him off with a cheeky comment for their onlookers. Playing his lover was highly amusing, and strangely enough...it seemed to work the way she had thought. What she hadn't expected was how difficult it was to remember it was just pretend, and not something more. He was greiving! But still, he always appeared in her thoughts unbidden. If only he wasn't so darned cute when he teased her, it might be easier.

Light, she was getting no where thinking about it. Instead she quickened her pace, her ever present bow slung over her shoulder. She hated leaving it behind, even when she knew she wouldn't need it. She just felt better knowing it was nearby, her one real tie with her old life.

Kedyn was already waiting, as expected, and she smiled cheerily in greeting as she approached. "Morning old man." She called with a grin, using the nickname she knew must grate just a little. He was anything but old, in fact likely no more than three namedays her elder, but any small victory was a victory.

"So my fearless leader, what have you got in store for me today?" She carefully placed her bow on the grass before straightening, raising a brow in question. He hadn't told her what he was teaching today, just that she would likely enjoy it, and that it would be hard, physical work, something which had received planty of laughs from the others at the table in the messhall the night before.

"So my fearless leader, what have you got in store for me today?" Kedyn stifled another yawn and patted the ground next to him, motioning for Miria to take a seat next to him. She obliged him as after she had placed her bow on thr ground.

"Today will be unarmed combat, for a scout is the most likely of the corps to be caught in a situation where they will not have a weapon at hand and will have to defend themselves if they cannot find a way out using their wits."

Kedyn let his right leg out straight and brought his left foot in so it was bent, the sle of the foot resting on his inner thigh. "First I would suggest stretching some so you don't hurt yourself, would't want to a pull a muscle and be not be able to participate in our scouting trips." Kedyn smiled wickedly and led Miria through a few of the stretched he knew, loosening the muscles to prevent injusry.

Standing Kedyn stood in front of Miria. "Now the basics. Striking spots. It doesn't matter waht you are doing, kicking or punching, all these will do alot of damage." Kedyn pointed to each spot as he said them. "Kidney's, knees, the joining of the ribs can kill someone, the nose which if you hit the bottom hard enough will kill a man, the kneck, temples, eyes, and" Kedyn didn't bother pointing to this one. "The groin."

"Now what I want you to do is try and hit me, I need to see if you know something. Or to make sure your aren't simply dazed by the rugged good looks of your lover." Kedyn chuckled to himself and settled into a ready stance. Sticking his tounge out at Miria breifly, as she so liked to do.

Miria dropped lightly to the grass beside Kedyn, resting her arms on her knees as he spoke, detailing just what she was learning.

"Today will be unarmed combat, for a scout is the most likely of the corps to be caught in a situation where they will not have a weapon at hand and will have to defend themselves if they cannot find a way out using their wits." Unarmed combat? Interesting. Miria had seen her fair share of scuffles at the inn where she had lived, not to mention a few since joinging the band, but she had never really thought one could learn that skill. Fortunately, her swift feet and smooth talking had been enough to keep her out of harms way for the most part. Still, this could prove a handy skill.

"First I would suggest stretching some so you don't hurt yourself, would't want to a pull a muscle and be not be able to participate in our scouting trips."His wicked grin earnt him a quick poking out of the tongue from Miria, before she obediently began stretching, mirroring his movements, limbering her limbs and loosening her muscles. She had always thought one gained injuries in a fight from being the one hit, not being the one who forgot to stretch.

Miria stood ready as Kedyn pointed out all the vulnerable areas. A well placed bllow to the nose could kill? Light, she would be much more careful next time she ran into a door! "Now what I want you to do is try and hit me, I need to see if you know something. Or to make sure you aren't simply dazed by the rugged good looks of your lover."

Kedyn beat Miria to the tongue poke, and she couldn't help but chuckle. "Handsome you may be, lover," She exaggerated the term with a sly grin, "But I am more worried about hurting you, or marring that pretty face." She smirked at him, and took a deep breath. She really didn't want to hurt him, but common sense told her she wouldn't be able to anyway. Unless she somehow managed to smash his nose. Or his groin. She stifled a giggle as she remembered the look of pain on the unfortunate man's face when he had encountered a blow from one of the serving women's knees at the tavern she'd lived in. Served him right for presuming he could touch her backside. That alone had told her it was a painful injury for a man.

"Ok old man." She murmured as she adopted a similar pose to one she had seen before, holding her hands in fists in front of her. She lunged, her closed fist aiming for his chest. She blinked when Kedyn deftly sidestepped, batting her arm out of the way. Whirling to face him again, she tried once more, with a similar result, her momentum causing her to stumble a few steps. She knew she was not slow, but this was frustrating. Perhaps a different tack was required.

Lining him up once more, Miria swung with her right, though she kept her eye on him this time, waiting for him to dodge. He did so, and she quickly struck at him with her foot, dangerously close to his groin, when he suddenly grabbed it by the ankle, disrupting her balance and knocking her unceremoniously to her rump. "You this gentle with all your supposed lovers?" She grumbled as she stood and brushed herself off, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. His chuckle caused her to scowl, her eyes on his and her hands on her hips when her left toe snuck out and just glanced off his shin. It would have been a better hit if he hadn't been able to move before the full force hit him. Curse him! At least it was something.

"You this gentle with all your supposed lovers?" Kedyn chuckled to himself a he looked down at Miria, though perhaps he should have been afraid with the scowl she wore on her face. He watched as she got up, brushing herself off and trying to recover from her little mishap.

Kedyn's eyes widened in suprise as Miria's foot began to move, trying to kick him in the shin no less. He tried to move his leg out of the way before the full force hit him, he succeded partially and was able to come out with only a glancing blow. But even a glancing blow to the shin was painful, there was a reason he always told his students that if all else failed kick the person in the shins.

The sharp intake of breath gave way to some of what Kedyn felt. Breathing deeply he hobbled in a circle for a few steps, eyes squinted as he tried to force the pain to subside quicker. Turning back to a now grinning Miria, he shook his head with a small scowl. "Lover? I would call you more of a wild cat. That hurt." Kedyn said accusingly, which was met only by a grin he could only call triumphant.

Putting his full wight back on both legs Kedyn moved on, trying to ignore that rather infuriating grin on Miria's face. "I guess I did foget to mention that the shins were a very painful area to it, though you seem to already know that. But your problem, and the reason I was able to dump you on your rump, was that you were fighting using streangth as a druken fool might and not your full speed. You put all your force hoping to take me out with the first strike where you should have tried to be more precise and caculated with your strike to make sure you did hit."

"Since we got that out of the way, we can move to the basics. We'll start with the kicks becase that is what you seem to like doing the most." The slight throb still in Kedyn's shin would contest to that. "the most basic kick is the front kick. It's barely more than extended your foot out in front of you. Raise you leg, with your knee bent, point your knee towards where you want your foot to hit, snap your foot foreward and strike the target. Rather simplistic, this kick depends more on speed than anything else, the faster the kick it doesn't really matter how much power you put behind it. The next, is called the side kick. Turn you body, depending on which leg you are hitting with, and point your shoulder towards your opponent. Bring youe leg, bent, to your chest and then extend outwards to hit your opponent. This is one of the few kicks that I will teach you that dpend more on streangth than speed. If you can hit to face with this kick, it will knock most people out."

"The last one for today is going to be the roundhouse kick. This is perhaps the hardest of the basic kicks, but it is also the most useful and the most powerful. The round kick, hits with the instep of the foot and targets the head, midsection or knees. Pivot on your back foot, point at your target with your knee. Snap foreward, rechamber and bring your foot back down. This is all speed. The more speed the more damage."

Bringing his foot back down from his Kedyn turned to a dummy he had put up for this part of the lesson. "Go ahead and practice your wildcat ways on this poor fellow. I'm going to go and have my shin heel." Kedyn said with a fake sense of hostility, spoiled by the small grin on his face.

"Lover? I would call you more of a wild cat. That hurt." Miria tried to look apologetic, but was afraid all she ended up doing was looking proud of herself. Well, it served him right for dumping her unceremoniously on her rump.

Drunken fool? If she wasn't still gloating over inflicting that small amount of damage to Kedyn's shin she would probably have been offended, instead she continued to grin as he moved on with the lesson.

Hands on her hips, Miria tilted her head to one side as she studied Kedyn's movements, listening as he explained his actions. "Go ahead and practice your wildcat ways on this poor fellow. I'm going to go and have my shin heal." Miria couldn't help but laugh as Kedyn pretended to hobble to the side. "I knew you were soft Kedyn, but this surprises me." She teased back, before turning her attention to the dummy, a makeshift person stuffed with straw.

"Right, front kick." She murmured, licking her lips. Remembering what Kedyn had done, she lifted her leg, her knee pointing straight at the dummy. With a quick movement her foot shot out at thet target, hitting it with a soft thud. She looked to Kedyn questioningly who urged her to make the movement faster, and helped her adjust her positioning. Nodding, she chewed her lip in concentration, and lashed out, her foot connecting with the dummy's imaginary groin. Kedyn made a sound that could have been pain, but Miria ignored it, practising the kick until Kedyn was satisfied.

Turning on her heel, Miria positioned herself so that she was side on to the target, slowly practising lifting her leg, making sure she was going to maintain her balance. Her first attempt was pitiful, as she misjudged entirely and almost landed on her backside again, missing the dummy completely. With a sheepish grin she stepped closer and tried again, lifting her leg to kick the mid-section of the dummy, once again forced to repeat it over and over as Kedyn made her change things slightly, adjusting her position. He came up behind her, his hands resting lightly on her waist as he directed her, causing her breath to catch in her throat from the touch. With much difficulty, she kept her mind on her task, finally succeeding sufficiently to move on.

The last kick proved most tricky, in fact it would likely have been almost impossible if Miria hadn't been so light on her feet, and well practised at maintaining her balance. She frowned as she concentrated, her foot lashing out over and over towards the hapless dummy, though at first each kick was sloppy as she fought with her balance. Kedyn had to show her again, those teasing fingers of his burning her where they touched, until she had it down pat, completing the kick a few more times, even once managing to hit the dummy on the shoulder, impressive from her diminuitive height.

Depite the physical tiredness, Miria couldn't help but grin, surprised with what she had managed to learn so far. "Perhaps it was just as well I didn't practise on you, you would likely only be half a man by now." She grinned cheekily, unaware of the double meaning to her words, Kedyn no doubt associating the many kicks the dummy had received to the groin to her words as he roared with laughter, to Miria's somewhat confusion.

"Perhaps it was just as well I didn't practise on you, you would likely only be half a man by now." Kedyn roared with laughter at Miria's along with the smile on her face. From teh grin on her face Miria knew exactly what she was saying even if she was blissfully unaware sometimes. The sympathy pain he had felt for the poor dummy was enough that Kedyn knew very well what if would have been like if he was there.

"I know how devasted you would be if we coudln't continue our..scouting trips..if I were only half a man." Smiling to himself Kedyn took a step closer to Miria and reached out to take her hand. Although they were alone and no such thing as Kedyn was suggesting had ever happened between them Kedyn still liked to poke fun at Miria with that little joke.

Kedyn brought Miria's hand up towards him making as if he would kiss the top of her hand, but at the last moment turned so they wre shoulder to shoulder, Miria's hand cased in his in front of them both. Kedyn could feel Miria's pulse racing as he slowly formed her hand into a fist trying to be as gentle as he could, knowing full well how calloused his hands were from hours of sword and bow work. "You shouldn't have worked so hard Miria, your pulse is racing and we wouldn't want you to get tired before the lesson is over."

Kedyn tucked Miria's thumb under the rest of fingers and clenched his fingers ver the end result. "This would be the fist you use for punching, none other. The thumb tucked under your knecukles keeps you from breaking said thumb if hit something. Your should be more from the speed and exucution of that atack than from what you put behind it. AS your hand goes foreward," Kedyn led Miria's arm from her shoulder outwards until it was nearly half extended, "The force from your punch shouldn't come from until here. Snap your arm foreward, twisting your wrist so your knuckles are pointing down adn then recoil your arm back to your shoulder."

For a reason Kedy couldn't quiet put a finger on he detached himself from Miria almost reluctantly, feeling slightly more empty than he had been with his arms nearly around her. Stepping up to the poor dummy Kedyn took a comfortable stance. Right leg almost parralel with his left, shoulder pointing towards the duumy, one hand resting in front of his chest the other inf ront of his thigh, bouncing lightly on his heels.

In quick succesion he jabbed the dummy once in the nose, eye, joining of the ribs, kidneys and jsut below the stomach. Turning to Miria, "Each of those are the vital points for punching, now show me if you learned. Or would you like me to wrap my arms around you and guide you through the motions again." What scared Kedyn at that moment was how much he wished Miria would tell him yes.

"I know how devasted you would be if we coudln't continue our..scouting trips..if I were only half a man."Miria giggled and simply shook her head, knowing full well he was just teasing her. Nothing unusual had ever happened on one of their scouting trips, but the very thought still made her blush.

Miria smiled up at Kedyn as he took her hand, as though making a gallant gesture and kissing her hand, yet suddenly he was standing very close, shoulder to shoulder. Taking in a shaky breath at the enticing nearness, Miria watched, fascinated, as Kedyn's larger palm wrapped gently around her fingers, causing her to make a fist. The blood pounded in her veins, and she knew it was more from having Kedyn touch her than the physical work she had just done.

"You shouldn't have worked so hard Miria, your pulse is racing and we wouldn't want you to get tired before the lesson is over." Miria didn't trust herself to answer the teasing remark, fearing her voice had left her as she swallowed convulsively. It was still disturbing, how much he affected her. She tried to focus as he adjusted her fist and guided her arm in a slow punch.

Finally Kedyn moved away, and Miria very nearly protested, having enjoyed the closeness immensely, despite - no beacause of - the effect he had on her. His scent still lingered, and her hand was still warm from his touch...yet already she felt too cold, as though she needed his warmth. His palm had been hard and calloused, and surprisingly exciting as it had touched her smooth skin at the back of her hand.

Blinking, Miria snapped her eyes away from her hand, forcing herself to concentrate. It was too easy to lose herself in her imaginings, especially when they were inspired by her distracting teacher. Giving herself a mental shake Miria watched as he delivered quick, precise punches to the dummy.

"Each of those are the vital points for punching, now show me if you learned. Or would you like me to wrap my arms around you and guide you through the motions again?"A blush instantly crept over her cheeks and she smiled shyly. She could think of nothing she would like more than for Kedyn to take her in his arms, but likely he would think her nothing more than lightskirt should she even suggest the possibility, pretend lovers or not. Of course, the suggestion was obviously a joke to make her blush again, and he was succeeding well.

Instead, she flashed him one of her cheekiest grins as she stepped close to him. "If need an excuse to hold me I'm sure you can come up with better than that." Her voice was soft and deliberatly husky, and Miria had the thought that she was playing with fire, before she smiled up at him again and patted his cheek. Chuckling she stepped away, deliberately swinging her hips in the way she'd seen some women do, and faced the dummy.

Exhaling, she forced her mind away from the endearing grin of Kedyn to the task at hand. She turned sideways like Kedyn had, her shoulder towards the target. Lifting her hand, still in the fist he had helped her make, she jabbed at the dummy, aiming for the same places that Kedyn had, doing her best to replicate the punching action. She frowned when she was done, quite sure she hadn't gotten it right. Turning to face Kedyn with her hands on her hips she wrinkled her nose and tilted her head to the side. "That wasn't quite right, was it?" She asked, stifling the flutter in her stomach that hoped he would bodily show her again.

"If need an excuse to hold me I'm sure you can come up with better than that." Miria's voice was low, seductive the kind of voice tat heated men's blood and sent their imagination's spirling out of their control. It was at these moments that Kedyn found his view of Miria conflicting. She had boasted that she had had countless men chasing after her back at her home, but he had long ago begun to doubt her words. But if she hadn't then these moments gave light to he fact that she would have been able to.

Kedyn bit his lip thoughtfully as Miria stepped up to the dummy and began to strike it. There was something wrong with her movements but it tooka few moments of study before Kedyn was able to pinpiont the error, and he wasn't that suprised when he was able tp pinpoint it.

"That wasn't quite right, was it?" Kedyn had to stifle a small laugh at the pose Miria struck in fron of him, hands on her hips and nose wrinkled. It was one of the stances women were born with, though this one was perhaps the one men liked to see most. All others seemed to only lead to harm.

Kedyn shook his head and took a step foreward. He was both dreading and wishing for the next step. The problem with this lesson was that the easiest way to teach it was to be physical with the studen and guide them through the motions. And while Kedyn had begun to enjoy the closeness with Miria it presented many ideas and thoughts that led to disturbing ideas on why he was enjoying it.

"It seems then that you were able to find a way to get my arms around you again." Kedyn said with a small smile as he wrapped his arms around Miria and took her wrists in each of his. He breathed deeply trying to settle his stomach which turned out to be a mistake as the scent of her hair, a light flowery smell, befuddled his thoughts.

"You were close but the execution was slightly off." Kedyn slowly brought her right arm foreward, trying to ignore how his chest slid across her back as he did, the intimate contact tying his stomach in a knot that he had not felt since Lavena. Her arm was nearly halfway extended when Kedyn snapped it foreward quickly and then brought it back to her shoulder. "The last snap and twist is where the power comes from. That was what you were getting wrong. Understand." Kedyn had to mentally stop his hand from a small shake that had started, and then tried to take control of his stomach as he waited for Miria to answer.

Miria couldn't hide the small smile from her face as Kedyn stepped up to her once more, his arms reaching around her. "It seems then that you were able to find a way to get my arms around you again." A thrill raced down her spine as he took both her wrists in his hands. She hadn't done this deliberately, had she? No, surely not, she didn't know Kedyn would help her like this. She wasn't like those shameless Domani women. Was she? No, of course not.

Trying to concentrate on Kedyn's demonstration, Miria couldn't stop her heart from thumping noisily in her chest as his chest pressed intimately against her back, making her vividly aware of the contours of his muscular chest. Suddenly the image of him shirtless on her first scout training expedition flicked unbidden into her mind, boiling her blood as surely as his very presence was effecting her.

"You were close but the execution was slightly off."She nodded, chewing her lip as butterflies danced in her stomach. "The last snap and twist is where the power comes from. That was what you were getting wrong. Understand?"Miria tried to answer, but found she was bereft of speech, instead, swallowing, she nodded, licking her lower lip.

"I think I've got it now, though if you think you need to show me again, I won't stop you." Miria giggled softly, suprised at her own bold comment. Hopefully Kedyn just took it for another teasing remark, though she knew she had just spoken the truth. She wouldn't stop him, in fact, she would welcome it. Light, what was happening to her? She'd never had such thoughts before, never been so close to a man, never cared for one so much as she did Kedyn. Just how did he wield this power over her?

Just for fun, Miria extended her arm, practising the punch once more while Kedyn continued to hold her wrist, another shiver tickling her spine at the intimate contact, a wicked grin on her face. What was she thinking? She couldn't pass this off as acting for the crowd! Kedyn must be thinking her some shameless lightskirt! Blushing, she carefully extracted herself from his arms and trotted back over to the dummy, desperately trying to control her blush.

Chewing her lower lip, she took the stance again, before lifting her arm and clenching her fist, directing quick, hard jabs to the dummy, trying her best to ignore the tingle along her limbs and the awareness that Kedyn was watching her closely. Light but he was distracting enough for any woman! Focus!

Over and over she practiced, her mind on Kedyn and not really on what she was doing, though at least she'd learnt from her first lesson. She thought she would forever have the imprint of Kedyn's warm hands on her wrists. She was not likely to ever forget how to punch now.

Whirling to face him once more, her blush somewhat more under control, she lowered her hands. "Better?" She asked, sighing inwardly as he once again awarded her with one of those smiles.

Kedyn once again felt that empty feeling as he brough his arms ack to himself, letting go of her hands. He did contemplate taking her up on her offer, even if she was just teasing but settled for crossing his hands oer his chest and winking. He could feel his heart racing inside his chest as the shadow of her touch against him longered.

He tried to calm himself, crossing his arms over his chest to study Miria's movements. He noted the vast amount fo improvement she showed, though stidying her movements wasn't perhaps the best way to calm his racing pulse. Kedyn couldn't help the smile on his face.

"Better?" Kedyn's smile widened some to make his approval plain. "Perfect." Much like you. Kedyn eyes widened for a moment. Where had that thought come from? He shook his head, blaming his memories of Lavena for the thought. He had used to tell her that to.

"Well then, it seems I have nothing more to teach you for today, so unless you need anything you are free from me. I can already feel the dissapointment welling in my chest." Kedyn clutched his heart and looked away with a pained expression very dramatically, his ruse only marred by the smirk on his face.

"Well then, it seems I have nothing more to teach you for today, so unless you need anything you are free from me. I can already feel the dissapointment welling in my chest." Miria couldn't help but grin in return, Kedyn's smirk a dead giveaway of his teasing. Light but he was incorrigable! Still, her mirth warred with her disappointment that she was done for the day. Silly really, but she enjoyed every moment she was able to share with him, even when it was just training. A voice in her head tried to tell her she was setting herself up for a fall, but she blatantly ignored it.

"Goodness, we don't want that. Here, let me give you something to take your mind off the pain." A glint in her eyes that could only be described as wicked was all the warning Kedyn got before Miria pounced on his back, her small white teeth nipping his neck playfully, though enough to make him flinch. What possessed her to do it, she had no idea, other than she didn't want to leave yet. Besides, tussling with him gave her the perfect excuse to touch him once more, the now familiar flutter starting up in the pit of her stomach once more.

Giggling, she clung to his back, her arms over his shoulders. "This is how a real woman learns to fight." She told him, her lips beside his ear as she bit him again, giggling all the more when he swatted half-heartedly at her in an attempt to dislodge her. "You'll have to do a lot better than that to get rid of me Kedyn." She chuckled, though she surprised herself with just how true the words rung in her own mind. She wasn't going anywhere, certainly not anywhere away from him, without a fight. That in itself didn't surprise her, it was the way that she didn't want to question. Especially why she was enjoying being pressed so intimately against Kedyn's warm, sold frame. Questions better left unanswered, she decided.

"Goodness, we don't want that. Here, let me give you something to take your mind off the pain." Kedyn began to peek around his shoulder as Miria spoke, which may have helped him becaue he would have seen the look in her eyes. He stumbled a few steps as Miria punced on his kneck and had to bite his lip as he flinched, Miria's teeth sinking into his kneck. He suspected there would be a nice red mark there for the ext few days, and would invoke some interesting questions if someone saw it close.

Though Keydn couldn't deny that the situation was strangely exciting. Miria's face hovering close to his ear, her breath playing over his cheek as she was pressed against his back, her arms thrown over his shoulders in a parody of a hug. "This is how a real woman learns to fight." Kedyn jumped lightly and halfheartedly swatted at Miria as her lips closed over his ear and bit down lightly on his ear. He ddn't want to break the contact just yet.

"You'll have to do a lot better than that to get rid of me Kedyn." Kedyn smiled and let the flutter in his stomach die somewhat as Miria's breath played against him again. He shifted bending his knee slightly as his one arm reached up to grasp her shoulder as the other grasped an arm that was around his kneck. He rolled his and popped his hips and used his grip to slow Miria's descent to the ground. His care for Miria proved somewhat hazardous in the end as it dragged him down the ground along with her.

Kedyn ended up halfsprawled on top of Miria, his face across from hers and shaking with mirth. He looked down into Miria's eyes and smiled. "Now why would I want to get rid of you? You seem to have so much to teach me about fighting." Kedyn scrunched his nose in a half serious silent snarl and leaned foreward to lightly nip the edge of Miria's nose with a growl low in his throat.

Miria let out a small shriek as she felt herself being propelled upside down over Kedyn's shoulder, letting out a soft grunt as she connected with the ground, only to be pinned in place by Kedyn sprawled on top of her. The butterflies in her stomach began fluttering wildly, though she couldn't help but giggle, the movement as they both laughed only heightening the realisation of just how close he was.

"Now why would I want to get rid of you? You seem to have so much to teach me about fighting."Miria felt as though her head was shrouded in fog as she lost herself in his clear blue gaze. He growled softly and she giggled, her eyes widening in surprise when he nipped her nose. She poked her tongue out at him as she tried to regain some sort of sense in her befuddled brain, though it was difficut, she could feel his warm breath fanning her face, and he was so close, so warm...light, she thought she must be burning wherever they touched.

"I felt sorry for you is all." She mumbled, still unable to tear her eyes away from his smiling ones. "Didn't want you to be forever labelled the man that was beaten by a girl." She grinned cheekily and poked him in the ribs. It was obvious that she was beat, but she certainly wasn't about to concede anything. Besides, she found she was enjoying this, even with her stomach tied in knots and her cheeks no doubt bright with colour.

Her hand fluttered, but stayed lightly resting against his side where she had poked him, excitement coursing through her at the unknown and unfamiliar. Light, she had never so much as held a man's hand before meeting Kedyn and now...She swallowed, blushing at where her thoughts were headed, though unable to silence them completely. She held her breath, waiting...but for what? She should demand he get up, and put herself to rights...yet she could not utter the words. Nor did she particularly want to. Burn her, she was turning into a lightskirt, surely!

"I felt sorry for you is all. Didn't want you to be forever labelled the man that was beaten by a girl."

Kedyn grunted softly as he felt Miria poke him gently on the side. He could feel Miria's hand on his side, the touch pulsating on his skin under hs shirt. Staring down into her eyes Kedyn didn't know what to say and he wasn't sure he would be able to say anything even f he could figure something out.

The excitement flowing through his body sent a soft tingling sensation down his spine. The soft flowery smell coming from Miria was intoxicating and the feeling of her breath caressing his skin sent a fost shiver down his spine. Some part of Kedyn wondered what he was doing. It was only short time ago that he was pushing people away, construcing his wall around him, and now he was sprawled on top of a women in the middle of the Citadel.

Kedyn breathed slwoly, trying to settle the butterflies flapping in his stomach. He was slowly srowning in Miria's eyes, losing his thoughts. Kedyn suddenly had an overwhelming urge to lean foreward and kiss the woman beneath him. Just slowly lean foreward...Kedyn snapped back to realization at what he was doing. He started and began to rise, pulling Miria up with him. His face was flushed and him nearly breathless. He rolled his eyes, but couldn't think of anything to say, and didn't trust himself to say anything either.

Miria was almost growing used to the fact that being in Kedyn's vincinity was going to leave her flushed, breathless, but seeing it happen to Kedyn was a most satsfying experience. The question was, did he flush for the same reason she generally did? Or was something else bringing the blush to his cheeks?

Suddenly Kedyn rose, and pulled Miria upright with him, without saying a word. Miria couldn't help but blush in return, she'd been waiting...for what? For him to kiss her? Was she crazy? Perhaps he'd seen just how much she wanted him to kiss her in her eyes, and had been horrified and embarassed at the prospect. Light, he probably thought she was some shameless hussy, they way she entered into this ruse of theirs, the way she teased him. Truth be told, she'd never been kissed before, never even thought about it really, until now. And likely she was making a fool of herself in the process.

Brushing herself off, she forced a bright smile. "Don't worry, I promise not to tell anyone how easily I kicked your butt." She joked, her cheek dimpling. Ahh, but she was a liar, even if in jest. Sje was falling for him hook, line and sinker, and it seemed there was nothing she could do to stop it, except try and save some face. Why had she suggested this little game? The more they pretended, the more she knew she didn't want to pretend, wanted it to be real.

Punching him lightly on the arm, she shot him another cheeky grin as she walked past to collect her bow. Light, just let him not think her a light skirt...or guess at the truth behind her actions. She didn't know how she would be able to handle it if he no longer wanted to play this game of pretend.
