[TV] Black Donneleys

Over at NBC, net will yank Paul Haggis-Bobby Moresco drama "The Black Donnellys" from its posh Monday-night perch in order to make room for its new reality take on "Wedding Crashers."

 

"Donnellys" had been slated to air most of its 13-seg run at 10 p.m. Mondays. Assuming NBC doesn't pull the plug sooner, "Donnellys" will end April 16, getting to air just eight episodes on Mondays -- with only two of those segs airing behind original episodes of "Heroes."

 

Drama hasn't fared well in the ratings recently. Despite a solid "Deal or No Deal" lead-in, last week's seg sank to third place in the 10 p.m. hour, losing even to the season finale of "What About Brian."

 

What's bad for "Donnellys" is good for "Crashers," however.

When a tv show about real life jack*sses who crash weddings to get laid replaces a good drama like this, I find myself wishing man had never invented television. :roll:

I find myself wishing that people weren't too ADD to watch episodes of a damn good show! and instead need something they can pick up anytime without knowing the backstory.

I don't care if the show is being cancelled, I'm still watching. I just saw episode 7, and I thought it was great. Alot of stuff happening. I was cheering when the Donnellys went to rough up the drug dealers. Also, it seems that Kevin is in big doo doo. I think next episode (if I ever get to see it) can get pretty interesting.

I just read that the remaining 6 episodes will be streamed online at NBC.com, so at least we get to follow the show, even if it's not on TV. Hooray?

I love this show! I didn't know it was official that it was canned. I really didn't know it was canned for some stupid reality show! Why oh why don't the networks listen to the REAL viewers? I know so many people who LOVED this show!

Feel my pain. I soothed it by getting showtime and filling the void in my heart with The Tudors and the upcoming hopes of Dexter.

Ok, since NBC hates me, I have to get the episodes through not very legal ways.

 

Looks like the Donnellys finally will take over the neighbourhood. I've been waiting for this since the first episode. Nicky Cottero is growing on me as well. The first episodes, I thought he was a douche, but I don't dislike him as much now.
