The Gathering Storm is #1 on the New York Times
The Gathering Storm, the twelfth book in the Wheel of Time series, debuted at the number one spot on the prestigious New York Times bestseller list. This is the fifth WoT novel to hold the spot, and the first time that author Brandon Sanderson has been there. Gathering Storm's appearance on the list ended a six or seven week reign that Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol had been holding onto.
Congratulations to Brandon Sanderson and "Team Jordan" for this outstanding effort and accomplishment. And of course, congratulations as well to the late Robert Jordan, who's book this truly is.
