Dragon*Con Gets Sweet in 2005
Prolific fantasy artist Darrell K. Sweet will be attending Dragon*Con 2005. Sweet is best known to Wheel of Time fans as the cover artists for that expansive series of novels. Additionally, he has done covers for Piers Anthony, Isaac Asimov, Stephen Donaldson, and Robert Heinlein. He is also noted for his contributions to the Tolkien Calenders, including the entire 1982 edition.
Darrell K. Sweet was born and raised in Highland Park, NJ. A graduate in Art at Syracuse University. He also served in the Army at Fort Dix during the Korean War. His first assignments included covers for Readers Digest and other publishing houses (Ballantine, Bantam, Dell, and Western). He currently resides in Wyoming.
This will be Darrell’s first time at Dragon*Con.
