  1. I would love to see some of the main protagonists be taken out before Tarmon Gaidan even begins. Whether it is an assassination, death in battle, falling victim to compulsion, or being turned to the Dark One via the thirteen; I think it would remove the plot armor of fan favorites, and it would heighten the tension for the Last Battle all that much more.
  2. Elayne still manages to annoy me without even having any direct action in this chapter. Even if there are circumstances that are keeping her from meeting with Mat, I think that they have been through enough together and would have enough friendship between them that she could at least send him a message explaining why she can't see him. It makes it seem like all those times that Mat thought she was a snobbish, up-stuck noble that looked down on commoners, that he was correct.
  3. I hope this is true, there are enough Forsaken(some on their second incarnation) that still have to be dealt with. Graendal was a good character, but with the penultimate novel in the series about to be released, some of these villains have to stay dead.
  4. I read West's main trilogy, which I think was named "The Sun Sword". I really enjoyed it, it had good world building and characters, and it also had some excellent adult oriented themes without having creepy sex scenes. I also read her latest novel, which is set in the same world as the trilogy, but it is a prequel that tells the back story of one of the main characters. If you enjoyed the trilogy, you should enjoy this.
  5. Neal Stephenson's "The Baroque Cycle" may not be a traditional fantasy series but it is definitely epic, contains many fantasy elements and is mind-blowing in it's complexity and overall story arc. The first novel "Quicksilver" starts slow, but stick with it because it picks up pace in the second half. The second novel "Confusion" is when the series truly becomes great and the concluding novel "The System Of The World" wraps up the series better than most other series final book.It is hard describing the plot because it is so complex and far-reaching but it is well paced and definitely ties up all it's threads satisfactorily. The characters are great,as is the dialogue.this is just an awesome series that is well worth reading.
  6. More hot spoilers: 1.Rand gets so sick of Elayne,he lets Lews Therin take over his mind and body when he has to be with her or just talk to her 2.Min has a viewing of G.R.R.M. finishing aDwD in 2012(this is after her vision of the world ending, just like the Mayan calendar predicted) 3.If the U.S. cover is any indication, then Rand is suffering from Dwarfism 4.If Brandon's sales don't do well enough,he'll be replaced by Goodkind, since he's been basically writing Wheel of Time for Dummies for years. 5.Faile yells at Perrin a-lot 6.Mat learns how to make cherry-bombs-no latrine is safe more to come...
  7. I think you broke the record for longest Dragonmount fight.
  8. Here are some spoilers that I heard about: 1.Faile yells at Perrin a lot. 2.Rand gets a dragon tattoo on his bicep to replace the one that was on his hand. 3.Mat gets a new hat. more to come...
  9. She wasn't black ajah, she was just a very dark brown
  10. The oath sworn to the DO in part states that "I will serve him until the hour of my death." She negated the oath by taking a poison that she knew would kill her within one hour. This is how she was able to reveal the Black Ajah and betray the DO during the hour of her death. This definitely keeps with the Aes Sedai tradition of weaseling out of a sworn oath.
  11. Was where Rand got Justice revealed? The first chapter got me real curious about this.
  12. Yeah, I remember reading over that part multiple times to try and figure out whose side they were going to be on. I ended up with the impression that they were on the side of the Light, and were going to stand in the place of the Borderlander army that'd gone south, and I hope that's the way it goes. Seemed like good folk. But, yeah, the scene had a creepy, uncertain feeling to it... I pretty much assume they are on the Light Side because they are Borderlanders. Most Borderlander cultures seem to hate the Dark One and take him much more seriously than the other randlanders. Borderlanders are alo closer to the Blight and have experienced the the horrors the Shadow can inflict much more often. The fact that they take the DO more seriously(And probably are scared shitless of him) than other Randlanders might even make them even easier to convert. Remember Ingtar. Yes,didn't the dark side basically blackmail him into it through his wife? He definitely got an awesome death.I actually really liked his character.

  14. The problem with a totally CGI movie is that it would never make enough money for the studio to want to make sequels.
