Only one in four wilders survives her ability to channel without training. Almost all who do survive build up blocks that interfere with conscious control.

Not every wilder is blocked. Some realize what they are doing.

Personally I love Faile. Never really understood the hate. I think its got to do with how long the Shaido arc went.
Sure, she's jealous. Sure, it took her a couple books for her to explain to Perrin what she wants (she assumes at first that Perrin should JUST know these things).
Other than that she's a very solid character IMO.
She's strong, brave, resourceful and can do the things that Perrin might not be able to. She's an excellent match for him, especially now that he knows how to handle her.

I've got a question.
What did Rand need to apologize to Hurin for? I can't remember.

Fain knows how to use the ways. See the Great Hunt when he goes to Falme.

Rand only created Shadar Logoth's wards like that though.

How did the Trollocs get into Caemlyn if Rand had the waygate guarded? What happened there?

Mat has the quickest hands Thom has ever seen. Little practice in EotW. Little in tDR. Seems reasonable he'd learn quick.

Were the meaning of the names of all the Forsaken ever revealed? I know we know some, but I don't think we got them all.

Time to toss the dice.

I liked WFR. Then SoT kinda goes off the rails. The whole series is basically Goodkind using fantasy to preach his own beliefs. Or at least thats how the series comes off to me.
The ending trilogy also comes out of left field. Such a horrible ending to the series.

Its the a'dam IMO.
The reason the dream a'dam didn't knock her out of Tar was because she's already there. It HELD her there. She couldn't wake herself up. Remember, she tried to change the a'dam but she never woke up. If she could have she would have. I'd think it would work the opposite way too.

So I'm reading LoC and notice at Dumai's Well that Taim says something else strange about the Aiel.
When Rand tells him to raise the shield keeping the Shaido out Taim says that saving a few "renegade Aiel" was not worth the risk for the Shaido overrunning them. He was talking about Rand's Aiel. The counterpoint to Perrin's insistence to help them. I'm sure someone else has noticed this.
Not a real question. Just wondering if anyone has noticed this.

Has it ever been explained why Taim used the phrase supposed Aiel when talking to Rand the first time? As I remember thats the big reason for Taim = Demandred was so popular.

I love them. Only real problem I have is Kate's Messana.
