  1. I didn't mean that the other villagers would know he was Aiel, I meant that Moiraine should have known

It's already been stated but let's do so again. The prophecy never says the Dragon Reborn will be Aiel. It says "Born of a maiden." The Aiel hadn't been seen since the Aiel war and even then little was known of them.

Rand hasn't just been told he looks like an Aiel either. Remember the Caemlyn inn Mat and Rand stayed at? The cook thinks Rand looks like an Andoran prince. If a person from Caemlyn thinks you look like an Andoran prince, there has to be some similarity surely. Not to mention Dyelin. The Two Rivers technically is part of Andor..

I also agree it's unlikely the people from the Two Rivers would have told Moiraine much about Rands birth.

  2. Rhuarc wouldn't say the name. She filled in the blanks more than guessed and this was after Rhuarc showed her the clan chief mark of the dragon which is the same as the one on the banner she gave Rand. I agree with Luckers.

It even states she sounds as close to startlement as she ever had.

  3. while women wear a shift (I assume they don't wear anything else under their shifts...?)

Far Dareis Mai wear small clothes, I suppose that's to be expected really but maybe some Wetlanders do to.

Then I'm not sure why Rand was embaressed to be seen only in his breeches when Berelain entered his room in Book 4.

I always thought the embarrasment stemmed not only from being seen topless and in tight pants but also because of who it was. Berelain walks around half naked at the best of times. Just outside the room you have Aiel who talk about almost anything openly and the Tairen guards. If it got out that Berelain was in your bedroom at night, half naked, what would people say. Elayne got completely the wrong idea and she knew that Rand was busy fighting mirror images at the time.

  4. she was upset because Egwene was acting so much more mature than she was and couldn't accept it.

I've always seen that scene as a character flaw, for lack of a better word, on Egwenes part.

It's been a while since I last read it but wasn't Egwene going into T'A'R alone, against the wise ones wishes, Nynaeve came close to either figuring it out or letting slip to a wise one so Egwene needed to distract Nynaeve and decided to rant at her? Not entirely mature. It's similar to when she rants at Rand at the beginning of TFoH because she lets slip it was Moiraine who air-caned him.

Although Nynaeves distress at almost having that medicine forced on her was a good read.

  5. Ever since the Bowl of the Winds arc i've loved Nynaeve. When Setalle Anan drags her and Elayne off to see the Kin. Elayne threatens to slap Nynaeve silly if it's a waste of time and Nynaeve thinks Elayne's becoming far too violent and needs a good kicking. That sums up Nynaeve perfectly to me.
