  1. Definitely Far Madding. The whole time in there, it was great. I loved having Cadsuane explain everything and actually show remorse for what she was doing, even if it didn't stop her.
  2. Hey folks, Marc here, from The 4th Age Podcast. Over the last little while, many people have noted that the iTunes stream has been down. This was, without too much techy talk, because Dragonmount.com was undergoing some major reworks, and the feed that made iTunes know what files to get, and when / what to update, was broken. Unfortunately, it wasn't a real easy fix, to keep the old feed the same, and iTunes wasn't really helpful in allowing us to keep things as they were. So there is now a new 4th Age podcast - as the old one is no longer working - the old one exists there for archival purposes. This new feed is finally up and running properly, and it downloads all of the old episodes (minus most of the TGS recap series from 76-92 - they're being slowly implemented, but aren't all there just yet). So, if you wish to sign up and get the NEW 4th Age Podcast, click the following link: iTunes 4th Age Podcast Store Link To Subscribe (http://ax.itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-4th-age/id401516810#ls=1 is the direct link if the above one doesn't work). This should open iTunes up to the new 4th Age podcast, and allow you to subscribe. If you want just the feed itself (for either an RSS reader, or another program to get podcasts (Winamp, Media Go, etc), then THAT URL is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/4thAge Unfortunately, you cannot copy the old files into the new directory and have it work - I tried that last night. So you can either keep all the old with the old (if you have them already), or else re-download them with the new feed, which has them all as well, and will have the future episodes we release. Thanks again, and thank you for being loyal WoT / Dragonmount.com / 4th Age fans. »Marc S 4th Age Podcaster DISCLAIMER: I am just trying to help people figure this out. I am not in charge of anything, the feed, Dragonmount, or the 4th Age. I am just one of the more nerdier podcasters who asked Jason if he could help out. Please don't kill / sue me, or Dragonmount, because it really isn't nice. =) PS, we are aware of some of the issues with a couple of the episodes, and Jason is working on getting them fixed. New episodes are also still being recorded, and released, as well as the TGS Recap episodes, so you'll be seeing those in the feed over the coming days / weeks. This post has been promoted to an article

  4. There is now a new 4th Age podcast - the old one is no longer working, and is just there for archival purposes. HOWEVER, the new feed is up and running, and downloads all of the old episodes (minus the TGS recap series from 74-92 - I'll be talking with Jason to try and get those worked into the feed in the near future). So, if you wish to sign up and get the NEW 4th Age Podcast, click the following link: iTunes 4th Age Podcast Store Link To Subscribe *hopes that works...* Unfortunately, you cannot copy the old files into the new directory and have it work - I tried that last night. DISCLAIMER: Jason, please don't hurt me for trying to help people. I'm just telling what I've found. I don't want to diiiiiiieeeeeee !!!!!!! =)
  5. @Kajimaa, yes, you can use other sites. However, if you wish to subscribe to a feed that has them all, you need an XML file, and iTunes is one of the best Podcast-subscription tools out there. I mean, I could grab them from my Sony MediaGo application for my phone, but why ? Same with any other feed-reader. Besides, many of the people we know got started with the iTunes subscription, and I want to try and help us get back to that. Which reminds me, gotta talk to Jason....... @Cindy, thanks for your vote of confidence. I'll use that exact post when I e-mail Jason asking to let me help. =)
  6. Glad you guys enjoyed it. It was a blast to get to sit down and actually talk with the members of Team Jordan.
  7. We don't really have a time frame for when they'll be up, at the moment. We're working on it, and by we, I mean the staff at DM. Which reminds me, I should go about contacting them to try and help get the XML file updated, if possible... *putters off like a member of the Brown, wanting to help fix stuff*
  8. The reason it isn't working in iTunes at the moment is because of the podcast xml file (the thing that tells iTunes where the actual podcast files are hosted), is part of the old DM site, but not the new one (yet). I can't say we (because I wasn't asked to help work on it), but the DM staff is working on trying to get that back up and running as soon as possible, so we can post up the new episodes that we have recorded. Among those new episodes, we have: - A brief WOT You Should Know, with a brief overview of the Towers of Midnight tour - The interview with Team Jordan (Alan and Maria) - Another interview with Matt from Theoryland, regarding tel'aran'rhiod (just recorded tonight, actually). If you're looking to listen to those first two podcasts, they ARE posted on our Talkshoe page, so you can listen to them via the following Links: - WOT You Should Know: http://tinyurl.com/284wp3n - Interview with Team Jordan: http://bit.ly/9EZmqm Hopefully that helps, folks.
  9. Andrew's been working on a way to try and normalize the volumes. And with some of the upcoming episodes, we might have managed to figure out a way to keep them normalized, too. The reason I know this is because I suggested some of those ideas to Andrew. =) And yes, it was a great episode. Props to the crew who keep this up !
