  1. *Sitting down after a long journey, takes a look around...* "This place was much busier the last time I stepped through the doors. Have any thing to drink? Perhaps a nice warm tea"
  2. Been a while since I have walked in the library here (original poster of the library) How is everyone? I am currently reading and should finish up today "Seventy eight degrees of Tarot" I plan to start up "The Luminous Dead" tonight.
  3. Strange that most Ogier and guests alike have commented only on the fantasy collection. There is one more great book which I woud like to gift to the library. Though Fantamboo, I fear you will have a hard decision whether to place it with the histories or in the guest library. That book is "Collapse" by Jared Diamond. Certianly, it takes the long view of world history which Ogier would appreciate. However, I think its greatest value will be to teach humans a lesson which most Ogier already know - the importane of nature (including trees) to the world and society. I have never come actross
  4. It has Harrison Ford as a detective.
  5. I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life; my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
  6. Well I guess no one else is going to answer this one. This is said by Johnny 5 on short circuit. Love that movie as a kid.
  7. M:"When was the last time you remember doing something during the day?" B:"What do you mean?" M:I just mean during the day. Daylight. When was the last time you remember seeing it? And I'm not talking about some distant, half-forgotten childhood memory, I mean like yesterday. Last week. Can you come up with a single memory? You can't, can you? You know something, I don't think the sun even... exists... in this place. 'Cause I've been up for hours, and hours, and hours, and the night never ends here.
  8. I was going to give someone else a chance, but I guess no one has. This is my wifes favorite movie. I have seen this to many times.. Dirty Dancing when Baby shows up to the party and tells Patrick that she carried a watermelon.
  9. :That's it, man. Game over, man! Game over! What the f*** are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do? :Maybe we could build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh? Why don't we try that?
  10. Thats Dragonheart! When he is fighting Draco. ..... I think... been a while since I watched it.
  11. I hear ya, I am listening to The Twelve right now. I have a hour drive into work every day so plenty of time to listen. I just started reading " The Tree Body Problem" only about 100 pages in but good so far.
  12. *Looks around, sinks head* This place is a mess.... Well time to tidy up a bit. *begins to brush the dush off the shelves* So, what is everyone reading these day? I am currently reading "The Twelve" it is part 2 of "The Passage" by Jusitn Cronin. This first book was much better, read it if you haven't yet. But the second book so far is nothing more than a lot of backstory, not really progressing the story line much.
  13. Just an FYI it is also on iBook and b&n
  14. Cool I am always up for a free read! Thanks.
  15. Read "Project Pope" by Clifford D. Simak. Great book about robots living on a planet and religion. I have few others to recommend just not the time today. Will get a list for you over the next few days.
  16. Last weekend I read two new books. Across the Universe and A Million Suns. They are part of a series the third book has not been released yet. They are young adult not something I usually read but they were enjoyable. It is about a girls that gets frozen along with her patents to enhabit a new earth. They are suppose to stay frozen until they get there in 300 years but she gets woke up early to a very different world on the space craft. It is told in two view points one the girl and the other a boy called Elder. I recommend this for light reading.
  17. The new iPad looks great. There are a few thing that I wish they would have made better like the base model having more memory. But hey the advancement in the display and increase processor are great! What do you guys think?

  18. Anyone seen "The Vow" yet? Is it work the money to go see it?

  19. If anyone is interested I have an iPhone 4 for sale 125.00 on the AT&T network. It was used for about 8 months lightly by my wife she did not like it. It was kept in case with screen cover. This is a steal for a phone with no commitment.

  20. I know it has been a while sorry. I have another book to add to the library. It is called " the night circus" I enjoyed it very much. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it jumps around a bit. Other than that it is a very intriguing story. Pic it up read it and enjoy the read :)
  21. About 2 weeks ago I read "The Map of Time" it is a new release and was named one of the must reads of the summer. Most of the reviews I saw on this book were really good; this is why I picked it up. However after painfully reading the whole thing I beg to differ on those reviews. It was mediocre at best. The author took the story of H.G. Wells and the time machine and wrote a book around the story. Most of the book was overviews of the "The Time Machine" and the other part was word vomit. The book had lots of potential. While it was not the worst book I have ever read; it rated very close to t
  22. Bernard Cornwell's novel of King Arthur is The Winter King and it is an amazing read.
