This is an old post but I just got the Amazon e-book version after having only ever read the copy I had from years ago. It has been a while since I read the series and when I was reading the Ravens prologue, I was sitting here going "Am I losing my mind? I don't remember any of this!" And also, "This is so very slow going... How did I even start this series in the past with a prologue like this?" I then went on a research hunt and found out about how it got added. To be honest, it really should have been left in the YA adaption, put after the original prologue, or had a foreword explaining that it's optional. It's not bad, it's just not a strong beginning to an epic adventure. It could have even been out at the end of the book as a kind of "wind down" chapter that ingratiated you to the main characters a little more.
