  1. Wind and Truth – A Satisfying Journey Without a Destination (Spoiler-free review) Brandon Sanderson delivers once again in terms of worldbuilding, pacing, and sheer scope. Wind and Truth is an epic, emotionally weighty installment that showcases his talent for deep character moments, stunning action, and cosmere-level reveals. Fans of Kaladin, Dalinar, and the broader Rosharan saga will find plenty to enjoy — from internal struggles to external wars of gods and men. That said… the book doesn’t quite land the emotional or narrative conclusion many long-time readers hoped for. After five massive novels, what feels like the climax of the first arc closes without the kind of satisfying closure that characters like Kaladin, Dalinar, Navani, or even Szeth deserved. Many plotlines are left hanging or fade into ambiguity, while the much-hyped ending feels more like a soft transition than a resolution. Sanderson has made it clear that Stormlight is a two-arc series. Still, the decision to time-jump and focus on new characters without properly concluding existing arcs makes it hard to stay emotionally connected moving forward. For readers deeply invested in the original cast, this feels like saying goodbye without getting a chance to actually say goodbye. Verdict: Wind and Truth is worth the read — ambitious, bold, and often brilliant. But for some fans, it may leave behind a bittersweet sense of incompleteness that dulls the impact of what could have been a legendary close to the first
