  1. Adanna made her way wearily through the Tower Grounds up to the huge stairs that lead up to the Tower itself. She hesiteated at the foot of the stairs and looked up at the bone white shaft that loomed before her. Finally she gathered the nerve she needed and mounted the first stair. After what seemed like an eternatiy she walked through the large doors of the Tower. Almost instantly a woman dressed all in white appeared infront of her almost as if by the Power and asked what she could do for her. "I'm hear because I want to be Aes Sedai" Adanna said with out much of a quiver in her voice. The woman in white gave her a critical look up and down then lead her away deeper into the tower...

  2. Adanna stared at the gleaming city of Tar Valon as the river ship slowly sailed into North Harbor. She was finaily here, she would either become Aes Sedai or she would find some why to fit in the Tower. Not as a servant! For the love of the Light! She tossed her hair to get it out of her face and calmly gathered up her two bags, one containig the few cloths she had brought with her from Chachin, and the other a few scraps of food, incase she wouldn't be staying in the tower. The boat captian glanced at her as she stepped onto the gang plank and began to descend, she had already paid him the rest of his money once Tar Valon had come into sight Greedy fool! She thought to herself. It had cost her more then half of what little money she had left. All thoughts of the boat trip where driven from her mind as she steped out of the harbor area and set foot into the city proper, she had grown up in Chachin and she had traveled with her father to Shol Arbel, but she had never seen anything like Tar Valon. She had read that the Ogier made The buildings in Tar Valon to resemble, in some cases, birds in flight or sea shells or even stampedeing horses, but what she had read hadn't prepared her for this. the street ran arrow straight to the ivory shaft that was The White Tower. She stood there for several minutes just staring and then shook herself out of her revery. Fool woman! standing there in the middle of the street where any pick-poket can just come up an rob you blind! She stalked angrily down the street towrads the tower and soon found herself huming and dancing a few steps before she stopped herself and hastily looked around to see if anyone had seen her. Finally she made her way to the Tower Grounds and slowly walked throught the gate, fully expecting the guards to stop her and question her, but all they did was merely nod her in throught the gate. She stared across the tower grounds at the Tower, it was larger up close then down at the gates to North Harbor. She steeled herself and walked up to the Tower determind to be on her way to sister-hood before night.
