I just finished listening to Rosamund Pike's reading of The Eye of the World.   While I loved listening to the Michael Kramer and Kate Reading at the time I find Rosamund's reading of the characters and the drama to feel more alive.   I'm acutely not a fan of the Amazon Prime series, not just because it strays from Robert Jordan's storyline, but because the art direction feels plastic and some of the casting (excluding Moiraine) seems off.  That said, I so thoroughly enjoyed this new voice for Robert Jordan's epic tale that I'm perfectly happy to give my money to Audible/Amazon a second time around if they'll just let her record the rest of the series.
