The reason it is funny is because it is so ironic.  It has the MAtt gets what he deserves slant to it that is appealing to some degree, and his reaction is typical Matt.

I think there were 2 male and 2 female access keys made.  Why?  We saw another female access key in Tanchico that was broken.  And Lanfear reports of 2 stronger than Callandor that can be used bya man.  Although this may actually refer to the big statue, not the access keys so I may be wrong.

I think the ending of Goodkind's books is pretty lame as well.

Richard sends all the imperial order and snyone that wants to live in a world without magic to another world, and everyone that wants to keep it like it is, ie everyone that prays daily devotions to Richard get to stay in the current world.  Very lame.  Kind of like the bood of translation I guess.  the world is on the brink of this huge final battle betweek good and evil and woula, the evil army disappears.  Maybe like Tolkein and the Ents, LOL.  Very lame.

LTT and Artur Paendrag would in my opinion be much more suited or their personalities much more suited to take on the role Rand has

Comparing a shephard learning how to lead to great leaders of the past is not quite fair. Rand is learning throughout the series. I think he has done as well as can be expected.
