Jimmy was horrified to learn this week that my childhood in Utah included the occasional mustard gas and nuclear strike drill at school. Oh and earthquakes. Apparently Texas only worried about tornadoes during the 80's.

Dinner was salade lyonaise and whole wheat spaghetti with homemade walnut pesto. Dessert was French yogurt cake. Jimmy's response? "Eww. Walnuts."

Dinner tonight: Curried butternut squash soup with apple walnut coffee cake for dessert. Looks like fall is here!
