  1. I honestly don't see anything wrong with super long life. Due to my beliefs I believe the world and universe will end one day, maybe 10 years from now, maybe 100,000, but honestly I would love to live 1000's maybe even 10's of 1000's of years. Why? Beacuse I have a passion for exploring and seeing new places unlike no other. If i had one wish that could be fulfilled, I'd wish I could live long enough to see every star, and planet in the galaxy and universe. Thats how much I love it. So I honestly believe it would be different for every person on how long they wished to live.
  2. Thats a very long time for a horse, trust me. They either died or were too old to be of use. Also considering who their riders were it probably didn't help their life expectancy's much.
  3. Welcome to DM. We love to have scholarly debates about stuff and everyone here is friendly.
  4. All i got to say is Rhuarc. I will take him or any other significant aiel over any wetlander any day except for big people like logain, rand, etc.
  5. Great to have you. Im new too and I love it already so I know you will like it :)
  6. Its honestly very hard to say. It all depends on the context of each White's brain and how they think, and what is "logical" to their own minds.
  7. I agree. I would have loved to see some stories on the War reduced the worlds populations by large amounts, and which wiped whole nations off the face of the planets. I have to say im a more sadistic/cynical type person and I would have loved to read about the unending hordes of shadowspawn annihilating all before them
  8. "A Bridge To Far" is excellent. You have probably already heard of it but if not, its about Operation Market Garden of WWII. Very good story and good structure and it gives great insight into the live of american soldiers in WWII
  9. My favorite characters so far have to be Rand, Lan, Padan Fain, and Elayne. There are actually many characters I hate, but in a good way in that I dont hate them because they dont seem to fit or go with the story, but in that they go WITH the story so good and im so deep into the characters that there actions in the books make me furious. The main ones i hate are Elayne's two brothers, with Gawyn the more disliked of the two. I came to despise him by his hatred of Rand al'Thor and of because of his killing of hammar during the coup, and also because of his leading of the younglings, a gang of rebellious brats who can't even grow chin hair, yet they believe they are force to be reckoned with. And yes I love reading LotR and im working on war of the spider queen by salvatore
  10. My favorite would be a story about the Land of Madmen. I would also love to see some stuff about some Darkfriends. Ive always loved stories about good people corrupted and betrayed by those they trust, and becomes the very things they vow to destroy. Tragic misunderstood villians are some of my favorite characters. I also love the insane, mad type ones. I quote from batman "Because some men don't care about money, power, or fame. They can't be bought, bribed, negotiated, or reasoned with. Some men just wanna watch the world burn." Those are my other favorite type of villians. I just would have to loved to see some backstories on some people like that.
  11. Hello everyone :). Ive been browsing around here for awhile and i like what i see so i decided to join. About 5 years ago i picked up New Spring at a yard sale. I considered it a very good read but i it tucked away on my shelf, not to be read for a long time. About 2 years ago i decided to re read it. Immediately after that i began searching at my local libraries for The Eye. I was hooked from then on. I have always been a huge fan of fantasy stories and books. Im an avid fan of LotR and im getting in rl salvatore. Anyways Im a huge fan of the WoT series. Ive never actually completed the series but Ive read to book 11 twice. The first time i reached book 11 and due to circumstances i ran out of time. After about a year or so i decided to finish it but i started reading and realized in had forgotten most major plot lines and so forth so i started anew. I cant wait to start chatting and meet fellow WoT readers. I intend to be very active on the forums. I cant wait :)
