  1. No love for Syrio Forel? Or the Greatjon? Both of these work. Syrio kills people with a wooden sword. The Greatjon gets his hand chewed off by a direwolf and LAUGHS about it.
  2. Has anyone read Sapowski's Last Wish or Blood of Elves? I really want to get into the Witcher books because of the games, but I am worried about reading the series that only so far has two books in English.
  3. In no particular order Ambrose Jakkis (He is just a douche) Joffrey Baratheon (Sadistic evil child) Couladin (dude just stop snarling all the time) Ramsay Snow (Theon warm this girl up for me) Thomas Covenant (I mean come on poor girl)
  4. Again this perception isn't entirely true, or at least not much more so than most of the other main characters. We see hear admitting she doesn't always know best and showing admiration for advisers and teachers throughout the text. As for Egwene opposing Rand, her opposing everything is obviously false but in regards to the seals any sane person would have based on his actions pre VoG. He was destroying his own armies, slaughtering innocents and on the brink of handing the DO an ultimate victory with his Dark Rand persona. He has much as admitted he has no idea how to seal the bore and is relying on Min to find the answers for him. He waltzed into the WT and said can't talk now, breaking the seals, late. When did Rand slaughter innocents? I hope you aren't counting balefiring Graendal's hangout. No one was innocent inside there.
  5. I swear on me own mother that I do be supporting Illian.
  6. While I doubt this will happen, I hope the White Tower ceases to exist. I am tired of the Aes Sedai controlling society and failing miserably at it.
  7. OFF WITH HIS HEAD I TELL YOU!
  8. Gawyn is probably the weakest and most selfish character in the entire series. He has zero backbone and stands for nothing but himself. Lawfully he sides with Elaida, but allows Siuan to escape who is integral to defeating Elaida. No backbone, and you killed all those Warders for nothing. Abandons his duty as First Prince of the Sword. Duty heavier than a mountain? Not for Gawyn! No backbone, let Elayne take care of herself, good thing she has Birgitte! Vows to kill Rand to damn the entire world. Most selfish act in the entire series, and he even has people constantly telling him that Rand didn't kill Morgase. Abandons his Younglings and joins the Rebels. Live with your consequences, turncoat. Pisses off Gareth the Great Captain all the time and continually disobeys the Amyrlin Seat because "he knows better than them." He needs to just die in AMoL.
  9. You forgot Bair, and all of her boney sinewy goodness.
  10. Oh my, jealousy is a hell of a drug. the doofus could not even save hooper.Ofcourse it's not suprising though since your IQ doesn't change in TAR either *snigger*. As for rhe greatest swordsman in the land, well i will give him that. Shame though he will only hold on to it for another book. He will perish in AMOL and i say good riddance. Doesn't matter. her accomplishments dwarfs her strenghth in the power. fortuna is not fit to clean the amyrlin's shawl. The only thing she's got on egwene is melanin levels I'm not biting again. I've said my peace. ;)
  11. LOL. Egwene Sexy? Hardly. And she is in love with that fool Gawyn. Shows how smart she is. Confident? More like straight up arrogance and conceitedness. Ambitious? She was given the Seat because those idiot Aes Sedai thought they could control her, but since she is the Mary Sue of the series she controls them. And she whined her way into the Aiel to learn about TAR, and she still lied multiple times to Amys. How many times in TSR was she "waahhhhh its not fair that Rand gets to do whatever he wants!" Unlike Egwene, at least the "wolf doofus" is a true master of TAR by catching balefire weaves. And at least Lan is the greatest swordsman in the entire land. Egwene isn't even the strongest Aes Sedai. Egwene and Fortuona should join an arrogance club together. Come on mate, don't let Elan Trolldroani goad you into making this an Egwene thing. The OP specifically didn't want that. :( I know but I just couldn't control myself! I'm on a re-read of TSR and shes been getting on my nerves horribly in that book. Anyways, I'll pass that torch to Gawyn as the most disliked which I think I spoke about earlier in this thread.

  13. Cool, I finished college at LSU, so I know Baton Rouge quite well.
  14. Fixing the weather was paramount, so the bowl of the winds was pretty much required. Ditto with Rand against the Seanchan. I would have to say Elayne's ascension was a little bloated at times. It is hers by right, so I don't why it had to be dragged out, and none of the Andoran nobles are particularly interesting. She could have gotten the throne really fast, and the Caemlyn Black Ajah storyline would still be intact. I really enjoyed the Mat and Tuon parts in CoT. In fact it might be my favorite relationship in the whole series. (right after Rand and Aviendha even though it doesnt hardly exist lately) Faile's point of views weren't necessary IMO. In the end during the rescue, it doesn't matter who the Brotherless were and it doesn't matter that Galina was trying to kill them. They were all still rescued. I would like to point out that most of these are opinions based upon multiple re-reads. I did not think any of this during my first read of the books.
