Possibly my favorite character is Birgitte Silverbow. She brings backbone to Elayne, Nynaeve, and the Queen's Guard. She also brings a connection from our supergirls to Mat. Through Birgitte, they are able to communicate and cooperate with one another.

I understand that to be a "blademaster" you have to either kill another blademaster in a fair sword to sword fight, or have a pannel of blademasters deem you worthy. I didn't read New Spring until after I finished Knife of Dreams. Nothing missed. In fact, you will probably just be putting the series on hold if you stop to read New Spring right now. Just wait until you finish Towers of Midnight. Thats my recommendation.

I work in law enforcement. Sometimes I work all night long. When it is slow, I pull out a book. After reading a countless number books for several years and getting bored, (8 hours a night for a few years will practically get you through a small library) I took a recommendation from a friend and started borrowing his WoT books. After borrowing his entire set twice, I finally purchased some for my own. I've re-read quite a few different book series over the years, but I have a feeling that I'll end up reading WoT more than any other. IT IS THAT GOOD.

We know that Rand has to "clear away the rubble" before resealing the bore. But what if he made Dragonmount the new bore? Or what if in a desperate act of Tar Valon being overwhelmed by shadowspawn, the Aes Sedai or Ashaman erupt Dragonmount in order to "purge" Tar Valon? I wonder how the shadowspawn will be swept clean of Caemlyn? Maybe Rand will cleanse them from the streets the same way he destroyed the shadowspawn only from the Stone of Tear?
