It doesn't work on men holding saidin - it works fine on men at other times, and women whether or not they hold saidar.
All of the AS who have been man-bonded have the twist though, right?

Doesn't compelling with the bond not work on channellers anyway? I thought I read that but not sure.

The Ajah system never really made sense to me: Let's divide our unified tower into 7 divisions and then have a perminant choice about which one our recruits join at a point where they have been treated as children for the past 20 years. Oh and we will pretend our leader isn't part of any of them even though she totally was.

Either that or when Rand is entering TAR in the flesh.
That quote was from the start of TGH, he could berely assume the void at will, I doubt he was entering TAR.

One of my favorites was about cats teaching curiosity, but keeping sense for themselves, I don't remember the exact wording.
I think it's something like "Cats teach men curiosity, but keep sense to themself"
"Men teach cats curiosity, but cats keep sense for themselves"

Wasn't Perrin also set on sending them all to different places? Or was it still days to get them all to camelyn?

It isn't really the real world that is part of the Wheel of time. It is the world such as in any movie or tv show or book that is based somewhat in reality. It isn't supposed to be a new Holy Bible, more like the Foundation series where society progressed from a snapshot of the world to something else.
The interesting idea is where are the break points in ages in our history, the world has fossils so clearly there must be ages several million years long atleast where dinosaurs are stomping around so we can find them, but I am sure people can link to long discussions of this topic.
Ok thanks. So you're saying its our world in as much as 'the planet of the apes' is our world?
Or any other scifi you can think of, yeah.

Just rereading the series and it seems that with the revelation that Masema was being visited by something to make him the Prophet and Sammael saying the events in the south had Demandred's hand on them, was Demandred controlling Masema or something else?

Is there any possibility that the notes RJ left will ever be published? We all know there are going to be many loose ends that are left after aMoL and I would love to read them. Even if it was in like a limited run collectors edition of all 13 books and the notes costing $500.
