At least Rand, Mat, and Perrin are pretty straightforward...
I always thought it was pronounced "Rahnd", "Mate", and "Pee-ryne"

I can't even remember how I pronounced most of them. Started listening to the audio books about half way through the series, so I'm so used to hearing it the "right" way that I've forgotten my "wrong" way.
I do remember that I thought it was "Ays-Suh-Die" and not "Eyes-seh-die"
And I also thought it was "Ayl" and not "ah-eel"
and "EEgwen" instead of "EE-gwayne"
other than that I don't remember.

One thing I'm noticing is a lot of "typos" being pointed out in dialogue. I think any "errors" in grammar that are found in dialogue are probably not actualy errors. In the real world, people don't usualy speak in perfectly correct language, and one thing I've always loved about WOT is how the dialogue reflects that grammatical incorrectness.

They cannot use the power as a weapon, and their oaths hold. There is a comment on it in Knife of Dreams about how a former AS damane was useless as a weapon, making her so distraught that the sul'dam had to console her with compliments on how pretty her skylights were and how wonderful her healing was. (Seanchan Death Guard's PoV)
There is speculation that the Seanchan might somehow figure out how to circumvent this, like by threatening to kill them if they don't comply and thus making their lives in danger enough to use the Power as a weapon in war.
But the oaths are tricky. The Aes'Sedai cannot wield it as a weapon, at least not against any save shadowspawn, but why should that matter if the Aes'sedai is not wielding it, but is being wielded by the seanchan, and the seanchan is wielding it through her? That seems plausible, and an ironic twist fit for an Aes'sedai who has spent hundreds of years (possibly) twisting truths, only to have the truth twisted on her in such a way.

Rand's sword was made from the one power, and Ishamael was a wielder of the True Power, so perhaps when Rand stabbed Ishamael with it, while it damaged Ishy, Ishy acted as a sort of cryptonite for the power wraught weapon.

Oh... my....
I've always hated the US covers, eccept for Eye of the World; but even that cover always bothered me due to the simple fact that, as I read the book for the first time, I was constantly waiting for the "extra" person in the lineup on the cover to be introduced. He never was...
That being said...
The French covers are so bad they make me want to light myself on fire.
What are you reading?

I'm currently reading Towers of Midnight, The Well of Ascension (second book in the Mistborn trilogy), two books that I am in the process of writing (if you count re-reading what I've written), and all of the endless reading material assigned to me in my three courses at UHV.
