About Me

I am 45, work full-time as an administrative aide for Los Angeles County Office of Education, working for a program called AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), which helps junior high and high school students get better prepared for college - cool program to work for!

I have a B.A. Degree in Applied Mathematics from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), and also extended education certificates in digital animation and video/computer game design, also from CSUF.

I may need to take more game/level design/programming courses before I can change careers; that's if I really want to work more than 40 hours a week, which most animators/game programmers, etc. work. It would be really cool to work on fun video games and/or movies, however.

What else, I am single and never been married - still hoping to get married someday - I need to check out some of those dating services soon; I have been busy with my new work assignment in the AVID program.

I attend the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Anaheim, CA, really close to where I live in Yorba Linda, which is in Orange County, CA; very good church, great music and good pastors/members.

I first started reading the Wheel of Time back in 1992 or 1993 when I received the 3rd book, TDR, from the Science Fiction Book Club - it was one of their main selections at the time, and it was automatically sent to me when I forgot to fill out the reply form. So, when I realized it was book 3, I quickly went out and bought TEOTW & TGH in paperback, and after reading the prologue to TEOTW, I was completely hooked, and I read through the 1st 2 books very quickly.

I've re-read the series quite a few times (10 or 12 times through, at least for books 1 - 8), and like many other wheel of time fans, I have tried to reread the entire series through before a new book comes out in the series.

Brandon Sanderson has done an awesome job in completing the series, and I really hope Universal Pictures and Red Eagle Entertainment will start filming the live action movies for the series next year in 2011! If the Harry Potter books can generate 8 movies for 7 books, then universal/red eagle should be able to make at least 3 or 4 movies for a 14 book series!

I'm hoping that for the tour for the final book, AMOL, that Brandon will be able to come out to Los Angeles, so I can congratulate him in person for the awesome job he has done. I don't remember seeing Los Angeles listed for any of the book tours for TOM. Orange County isn't too far from Los Angeles.

God bless and take care, everyone.
