  1. Why do you deny Egwene authority or status ? As much as Rand his the Savior , he is neither the only hero nor omniscient . Egwene treat him as is equal and he doe's the same they respect and value each other and Rand needed her as much as she needed him , in the end it is her who freed him from himself and in a way win the last battle .

You have an argument when you speak about her tendency to demand allegiance from her subaltern , this is in a way above and beyond her  station of Amyrlin , but in a time where the tower is split the last battle at your doorstep , with a madwoman in control of the tower , Black Ajah and forsaken roaming around , I don't see why she shouldn't be allowed to have a strong base of support .

I don't think the issue is critics about Egwene , as much as it is with critics that make no sense.

  2. I feel sad and happy . The more I think about it the more I find it is not simply the content that make me sad , sad at the death of so many character I have grown to love and admire ,even Gawyn , and joy as other live to rebuild and celebrate the glorious sacrifice of the other .

I Simply don't want the book  to end.  Foolish right ?

  3. Youi are looking at it from a narrow viewpoint. Compulsion is not simply mind control. There are different degrees of Compulsion.

You can make someone more amiable, make them angry, make them forget something, or plant information.

Using compulsion on a child to make them forget seeing their parents get stabbed, for example, is not a weapon.

It is still wrong , you touch to the mind of people , and even traumatic event need to be dealt with not erase or masked .

Both compulsions and Alanna bonding touch to the integrity of the person , in Alanna bonding it touched not only to the personal freedom of Rand but also to his mind . It is not okay to force either on someone .

But to Alanna favor she had a lot of courage , or temerity , she is a great deal foolish but she was right on the point Rand needed a bound and the help of Aes'Sedai , but like always Aes'Sedai though themselves above earthly concern like decency and respect .

  4. In a Path of Daggers, the Maidens beat Rand for going to battle without them (Sammael + Seanchan campaign).

Rand has a shirt over his head and min cries out for help when they start to beat him. Any reason why Rand did not embrace the source and lash out? At this point he is sick with the dizzyness, but I would have expected him to try initally as it shouldnt be initially know by him that its maidens attacking him.

It's about toh , at the time he don't understand why the maiden punish him , but he feel like he owe them whatever punishment they inflict on him .

But then you'd have to say what you mean by 'perfect'. To a craftsman or engineer, a 'perfect creation' is one that meets its purpose and fulfils its function, without faltering or failing, or having to be repaired or resupplied. We don't know what the purpose and function of Randland are. (It might be simply to exist.) It might have a built-in link with its Creator (or not, as the case may be). One thing it must have is a means of defending itself against the Dark One, and - if the DO is equal and opposite to the Creator - it's hard to see how a finite being such as the Dragon Reborn could oppose the DO. The Creator would either have to create him powerful enough to do the job, and therefore equal to the Creator; or provide him with access to the Creator's own power. Just possibly, that's what the Light in his brain is about.

Well he created the pattern as an equal to him or the Do , humanity is but a part of the pattern and the dragon their champion . We don't know yet what will be the confrontation between the dragon and the Do and Verin hinted that it might be something different that a direct confrontation .

On to why the creator don't intervene , perhaps he is busy perhaps he is not , but after all he gave creation all the weapon it need to contain the Do .

We imagine both the Do and the Creator are transcendent being , and maybe they are , but both are bound by the pattern , time if you will , for the Do to be in prison the Creator perhaps have to stay away from it's creation .

Stay away might not be the good term , as for the light in Rand's mind it is not Saidin , Nynaeve would have recognize it from her Eotw experience.

  5. About the queen of Andor , this specific event as happens but in the book it is not part of the narration

. It is a given fact From Tam and may be a result of the confrontation of Perrin and the withecloak ,  it might be talk about in the prelude of ToM.

The "Dragon" was just a political title for LTT (remember Graendal says Demandred could have been the Dragon if LTT wasnt so good)

It is not a political title it is like the wheel of time itself and the idea of the dark one a concept in the culture of the world of Wot .

I I remind correctly it is simply the nature of the "chosen" of the creator in the battle against the dark one and is force ; it was given to LTT by is pair but he himself did not like it ( Morridin told something like that).

I likely am mistaken but is is not a tittle some can give much like the very fact of been Ta'veren the pattern chose you.

The case of LTT or Rand himself are particular

  6. A thing in on my head for quite some time now (since I read the original book and not some filthy translation)

And I am myself not quite sure about it I find it to complaisant , it is about the main prophecies of the dragon reborn

:"His blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul, washing away the Shadow, sacrifice for man's salvation"

and one of the aiel prophecies about He Who Comes With The Dawn

:"He shall spill out the blood of those who call themselves Aiel as water on sand,"

The Shadow Rising, He Who Comes With The Dawn

so my question : Could is "blood" nor refer to is health but to the Aiel in the last battle ?
