  1. No. It is mentioned that it's perhaps the most powerful sa'angreal in WT possession.
  2. Today's Memory: They stood at the edge of time itself, and still Thom Merrilin found a smile.
  3. A question I would like answered as well. I take it that it's made clear he can't channel but not why? That's strange.
  4. @NotTaveren They contain information about who the other PoVs are and a brief glimpse of what to expect in them.
  5. Thanks dfchang for answering the questions. So, basically Rand survives in Moridin's body and rides off into the sunset with only Min, Avi and Elayne being the wiser and everyone else thinking he is dead? Dunno what to think about it.
  6. Is this the entirety of Chapter 3 or a part of it? Anyways, was an interesting read.
  7. Am pretty sure they would have finalized their marketing strategies months before and wouldn't have been altered by the reaction of a few. I think Peter just mentioned no new chapters will be released after the second and not any promotional teasers. As for the teaser, could it be some memory/knowledge/skill (like say access to TP) or does the phrasing rule that out?
  8. Not that everything adds up with all preview material being released more than two months prior the book release, but the above was clearly done to drive prologue sales.
  9. I used to get irritated because (almost) all threads over at aMoL spoiler discussions used to inevitably veer towards discussions regarding errors in books (whether this is because of the sheer number of errors or people's inability to get over themselves and the errors and accept them and enjoy the book is really immaterial....it was just getting irritating at least to me). Now, I just think it's funny reading all the criticisms, people criticizing these (constant?) criticisms and people defending these criticisms
  10. Except it's not somebody telling it to you, it's the same person who created the original seal and the prophecies(whose importance Egwene must know) concerning him. And it's not like the seals are strong, it could crumble any day without anyone's help. You could argue she thinks Rand is insane yada yada yada, doesn't change the fact it's not as simple or cut and dry as you have put. Common sense Please. are you thick? did rand explain what to egwene on the primary reason behind shattering the seals or more importanlty on how he was going to seal the bore differently this time? All he did was turn to the white tower told her he was going to smash the seals, refused her offer of planning and walked off. I think you ought to read that passage once again. You sound like my previous boss. Does things without any need for explanation He told her the old seals need to be removed if a new one is to built(source: wot encyclopedia. Don't have the book on me). That's besides the point I was trying to make. The point I was trying to make is that it warrants a debate and is not at all 'common sense' as you put it. I mean come on. you can't tell anyone it's common sense to blindly oppose breaking of the seals when it's the person who created the original and the person who has to recreate it is telling you that it has to be done. It at least warrants a debate. PS: I am thick.
  11. Actually, there is an indication that Egwene might be one of the three women on the boat. Recall Nicola's Foretelling: Back in ACoS12, Egwene prepares to take Lan to Ebou Dar quickly, by Skimming: Egwene Skims on a boat. And 'She who sees beyond' could mean Egwene the Dreamer, not Min. (Incidentally, the 'dedicated spear' may not refer to Avi, since at the time of this foretelling she wasn't Far Dareis Mai any more - she was training to become a Wise One (TSR23). and I don't think Elayne has ever used a sword..) But doesn't the DKS cover art pretty much confirm it's Min, Aviendha and Elayne ?
  12. Except it's not somebody telling it to you, it's the same person who created the original seal and the prophecies(whose importance Egwene must know) concerning him. 13. I would side with Rand simply because Egwene doesn't even seem to want to come up with an idea to defeat DO. She's given 30 days time by Rand and she uses that whole time with all the resources available to her being Amrylin doing what? She must either think she/the WT can come up with an idea to defeat DO in which case she must try to come up with an idea or trust Rand. It isn't the fact that Egwene opposes Rand without having any idea what to do herself that's irritating it's the fact that she doesn't even try.
  14. You are absolutely correct. Egwene doesn't know Rand. But shouldn't she be aware that she doesn't really know Rand and try to figure out what's happening with him, why he is acting the way he is. He isn't just some random dude after all, he is the DR.Also, instead of spending her resources trying to oppose Rand's 'plan', shouldn't she be spending it coming up with a better one if she thinks his is a bad one? seeing as how TG may already have started? I haven't read the book, so if she is indeed doing those things, pardon my ignorance.
