  1. Just order it off amazon uk :3 I did and it will be her around the 14th/15th ^_^
  2. Dispatch Estimate Wednesday 9 Jan 2013 Delivery estimate Saturday 12 Jan 2013 - Monday 21 Jan 2013 Dispatching Soon Ugh.... I really hope it arrives by the start of next week. :< Happy reading to everyone who will get it this week ^_^
  3. Where are they standing? AAAAAAAAA Is it metaphysical? Like the real edge of time? Or like the final hours of the last battle? Omg omg omg omg omg omg I want the book. DAMN!
  4. I can't understand if this: is actually said by one of the Forsaken or some sort of history or something? Like where does it come from? And does this mean that if the Light side would have destroyed itself and the world if it wasn't for the Dark One and his minions? Damn... At least that's how I understand it.
  5. This is a long shot but it might also be another glass column with other memories. Maybe an attempt to create a new one that explain how to seal the dark one to all future generations or one to explain how to avoid re-drilling the bore after the goodies have won? Or maybe an old one with old memories that will help in the last battle? Or maybe just a record to be left, a history, created in the last moments of a dying world forever ruled by the shadow. By death and non-existence.
  6. For Mat to use such eloquent language I expect nothing less than Tuon who has learned to channel riding a To'Raken and blasting squads of Trollocs around.... xD
  7. Sooo...save Faile == save the world?
  8. I also kind of disagree to a point that I doubt we will ever learn much more than we know about the Dark One and the Creator. The endless struggle between life and death, light and darkness...it's just "heavy" enough. Untouchable, colossal. Too heavy and too core to the series to be defined in a specific way. The Dark One is more of a force of nature that just IS than a being.... I think they should not be defined or characterized. Would ruin the massivity of the story. I mean we are looking at hundreds if not thousands of characters, defined in small or large ways, given well...character and if in the end we are told that they and their story are but tiny specs in the endless wheel of time - now that would be a nice nihilistic ending...I guess.... I'm not sure I can get my feelings through on this issue.
  9. Ripping a dead Rand out of the pattern after it is all over would mean he is no longer a hero. It might even brake the sodding wheel! I mean unless Rand finds a way to prove himself AGAIN as a hero ...well he'll be lost forever. The wheel won't save him. I'm not sure if anyone is getting any of this but when Birgitte got ripped out she not only lost her love and her "cycle" of reincarnation, love, death with that other legendary lad who's name I forgot, she is also not "saved" by the wheel. She needs to prove herself a hero worthy of being spun out again. And if that is to happen to Rand? If his "save state" is ripped out and everything is brilliant and prospering after the Dark One has been defeated? Or if he just vanishes (like we saw in Avis future) ...If he vanishes he can prove himself even less....so yeah..... Not to mention ripping the largest ta'veren ever seen from the Wheel might just brake it. (Which would be awesome...I kindda agree with crazy old Moridin here - the wheel is as much an endless trap cycle as it is a creation of the light....I think it should be broken )
  10. Bloody genius! Of course a good general would push by both land and sea! And what better sea warriors than the sea folk themselves? I think he's got it! Currently the North is under attack by Aiel dark channellers and all kinds of nasties - good but it will take more to actually progress in this war. The Borderlands are ready to hold long and hold hard the forces of the dark. Sure Caemlyn also got hit very hard and lost but it is just one town. What better way to hurt your enemy than squash them between two different fronts? Imagine the squabbles - War to the south we need help//War to the North WE need help. Genius! You and RJ are bloody genius!
  11. Hmm curious. Maybe the Dark One had something to do with this? I'm sorry but I still think the is a friend of the shadow for some reason. And I still believe she is the one to betray Cadsuane's trust. I'm more curious to what she really will be doing. Sent via gateway to an ancient town and only one person who we are sure is of the light knows where she is. She obviously didn't consult any of the other Wise Ones.
  12. I'm pretty sure that The Prince of Ravens does have a bigger meaning than "boytoy". Mainly because it seems to be really hard to survive in the Seanchan order. Anyway: Matt kills Galgan for some reason or other, there is some rule about The Prince killing a General that states that he needs to replace him (which hasn't happened in thousands of years) yada yada yada - Mat is forced to lead the Seanchan forces.
  13. Theory 1 - It was very much proven that the Seanchan prophesies have been very corrupted over time and their legitimacy is doubtful at best. Theory 2 - Rand will repair the pattern and not seal the bore. At least that is what his plan is and it is clearly stated in Chapter 1.
  14. First of all I think we should examine the prophecy paragraph as a whole thing and not just mix and match to get our ideas validated. That is not a very scientific method. Heh... :) In that day, when the One-Eyed Fool travels the halls of mourning, and the First Among Vermin lifts his hand to bring freedom to Him who will Destroy, the last days of the Fallen Blacksmith's pride shall come. Yea, and the Broken Wolf, the one whom Death has known, shall fall and be consumed by the Midnight Towers. And his destruction shall bring fear and sorrow to the hearts of men, and shall shake their very will itself. Anyway what can we see here? One-eyed fool is obviously Mat. It seems too late to introduce another One-eyed goofy character, characterize him enough so that the reader and the world around him cares of his fate. So Mat it is. The First Among Vermin is either be Rand or Egwene depending on who leads the Aes Sedai (both male and female I guess) into battle to brake the seals of the Dark One. It is probably Rand who will by the end of the book have the trust of all male and female channelers. So we can assume he is the First Among Vermin. The next line is often mistaken for something else. All that we read in it is that the PRIDE of the Fallen Blacksmith shall come to and end. Considering that the two other prophecies are 99% surely referring to the two other main characters I see no point in arguing that this one is not about Perrin. "Yea" as used here implies that it means: "More than this; not only so, but; -- used to mark the addition of a more specific or more emphatic clause. Cf. Nay, adv." So not only will his pride come to an end BUT the Broken Wolf will also fall and be consumed by the Towers. Which could mean a lot of things. This is wild speculation but I think that Perrin is sure to have an arc at Imfaral. "Imfaral is the sixth-largest city in the Empire of Seanchan and is famed as the location of the The Towers of Midnight, a large fortress complex. Imfaral is a port city located on the eastern-most peninsula of the northern landmass of the Seanchan continent, on the dividing channel between the two landmasses. Imfaral was captured during the early days of the Conquest and used as a base of operations by Luthair Paendrag Mondwin's forces until they secured Seandar later in the war." - Wheel of Time Wiki Also this seems interesting: "Since the Consolidation, the Towers have remained unoccupied. Legend has it that when a time of dire need comes, the Imperial family will return to the Towers and "right that which is wrong" " If I have to go on a wild speculation I think Perrin will be thought dead by most men, his forces will lose faith but somehow he will travel to the Towers (as a prisoner of great importance?) and he will right what is wrong - the Seanchan ways.
