In college, a buddy of mine gave me a copy of EOTW hardcover in 2K.  I didnt read it for 1 or 2 yrs, then finally cracked it open.  I couldnt get past the first 3 chapters because of how DENSE it was.  Prologue was Awesome, but the initial slog of the first few chapters were excruciating. So I didnt open it up again for like 6mos or so. Then I finally started it up again, and then BOOM!  What a Ride for 7 Books, until the "Slog" which we all know about...LOL!

After my 2nd re-read, I didnt realize how much foreshadowing was just in the 1st book!

I've always pictured Tear as Japan or some Feudal China/Japanese setting because of the Clogs they were which were worn in Japanese cultures in Feudal Japan.

I am loving the Diversity of the Cast.  Head-Canon be Damned!  If these actors (Male & Female) nail their roles as well as they are in the books, this should be a Great Series!

Hey here is 1 theory I would like for you to kick around...In the first dream that Egwene has, she mentions towers that are falling in the Blight but 1 tower stands tall against the shadow...Could that tower be Lan's Malkier coming back?? Also the grave that Nyneave is knelt over crying on, could that be Moiraine's?? Hmmm just putting it out there.

I choose as my fave Rand & Nyneave cleasing Saidin. I especially liked it when it ended w/ a whisper. No fanfare, no grandiose hooplah just, "It's Clean"

I think the last battle will end in exactly the same way. Jordan would have done it that way.

Well while Elayne, Aviendha, & Min bonding Rand was good, I'd have to say my Favorite scene in Winter's Heart was the Cleansing of Saidin! By far Rand & Nyneave linked together at Shadar Logath cleansing the taint while everyone else was having the battle of their lives (Before Tarmon Gai'don) was raging w/ 1 of the forsaken. AWESOME!!

A huge battle Raging and then it just ends in a whimper and a simple "It's Clean" nothing more nothing less. I imaging that Tarmon Gai'don will be similar. HUGE MASSIVELY EPIC BATTLE and in the end just a whimper of a It's Done in the end. No hoopla no speeches, just the wheel turns and will continue to turn.

Also, I think the Towers that fall, and 1 tower rises higher than them all is Malkier. I believe it is Lan's Kingdom that had fallen gets reborn and he becomes High King of the Borderlands.

The part when Moiraine actually bonds Lan in New Spring when he resigns himself to the fact that looking for the Dragon Reborn was a necessary thing...That was cool...She stands over him and he kneels to her and she places her hands on his head and bonds him...COOL!!
