My favorite female character from the Wheel of Time series. I imagined that in some future age, Nynaeve would be considered a saint due to her contributions to healing. I also imagined that her ecstasy in channeling the tremendous amounts of power used in The Cleansing would be parallel to the Ecstasy of St. Theresa. This is my first painterly approach to the digital medium, my other efforts being colored line drawings. Done in Photoshop CS2. The border was influenced by a trip to Vienna and exposure to the Secessionist movement.
