Anyone just finish Anthony Ryan's new book Tower Lord and go WTF?

 

Any thoughts on the ending and it's implications would be appreciated.  I hate cliff hangers!

The witch's bastard stole his song and that chick is going to be the new main character? I don't know. I liked the book but the ending was strange.
