Steam-Engineering in WoT?

Ever played Steampunk/Cyberpunk? Watched Miyazaki Movies or the like that involve Steam-Generated machines and such?

 

It is theorized (or possible) that a similar technology was used and researched in the Age of Legends. From weapons to day-to-day items similar to Ter'Angreals, what do you think would exist or be researched/created in this world?

 

 

(For example - an old weapon was found and is being researched by one group of Scholars, and anouther group are creating a steam based car while anouther group researches anouther path.)

 

What are your thoughts? Suggestions, Possible Items that could be found and in what age??

 

 

The Reasoning for my questions is i'm researching a Proposal for something on the RP side and would like some idea's from people more clever than I. ^_^ Any thoughts would be very helpful!
