A trip into the City

Mateo walked through the barracks looking for a trainee to help him on an errand he had to do in Tar Valon. He was determined not to go on his own and was going to take the first person he found. Walking towards him he saw a young trainee and grabed his shoulder. "You are coming with me on an important errand in Tar Valon" He didn't give the other a chance to do or say anything he just walked ahead expecting the young man to follow him.

 

" My name is Mateo Ashden and we have to pick up something very important and very heavy. We may have time to stop for a bite to eat while we are out as well." Mateo didn't look back he could hear the other walking behind him and new he was following orders.

Ran wanted to talk to the kitchens. He was hungry and his stumach was making noices to make sure Ran was noticing the hunger. The wind blew hard, the weather was a bit stormy but the sun made it all not cold. Suddenly a Tower Guard named Mateo grabed his shoulder, and told him he was going to come with him into Tar Valon. Ran had never been into Tar Valon except for the time when he arrived at the Warders Yards. He'd like to go into Tar Valon and walk around there but because of his busy training scedual he had never gotten time for it. This was his opportunity, but still Ran was horribly hungry.

 

Ran knew Mateo because he had seen him sparring with someone, and Ran had seen him on a few more occasions but they had never met so Mateo said "My name is Mateo Ashden and we have to pick up something very important and very heavy. We may have time to stop for a bite to eat while we are out as well." It couldn't get any better for Ran. Food out in Tar Valon. Ran nodded to Mateo and wanted to tell him it sounded good but Mateo had already turned around and walked away. He let Ran no other choice than to follow him and that was what Ran did. Ran followed Mateo and tried to walk next to the Tower Guard. "My name is Ran Arosho, sir. It's a pleasure to help you with whatever you want me to do. Going into Tar Valon is something I've wanted to do for some months already." When Ran looked up he couldn't hide his excitement in his eyes. He really was going to enjoy this.
