Okay. Here's the scoop on this thread. This will be our revised old movie trailers thread. You can either let me know (i.e. PM) or post onto this thread (unless it becomes locked...) when some new trailer or bit of information (no plot spoilers, please!) for an upcoming/just released movie. This should be kept up to date (we'll really make a conscious effort).

X3 does look immense. Its got Juggernaut, Archangel, Pheonix and the destruction of the Golden Gate bridge. What more could you ask for?

 

Also, Ultraviolet looks like an entertaining film is watching Mila Jovovich wearing leather and fighting against the establishment and causing explosions is your kind of thing. Me, I am easy to please :D

And as if that wasn't enough, Beast is also in the movie, and he looks very good. All blue and furry :D

Did you notice Beast was also in X2? He appeared as his pre-blue Dr Hank on a TV show in that bar scene.

Yeah, but now he's his lovely blue self, which is just so much cooler.

 

If they make this the start of the Dark Phoenix saga, and plans for an eventual conclusion in another movie, I wonder if they dare to bring in Shi'ar, and have the big fight on the Moon. That'd be awesome :D

Is there plans for a another movie? The way this one is called "The Last Stand" made it seem pretty final to me. Personally I would hate not to have a film with Apocalypse

It did seem in the trailer that it is in this film we see Dark Pheonix emerge, but as to how they will tie it in with the original story of not actually being Jean Grey I have no idea. Still, can't wait!

Another movie probably depends a lot on how this one goes.

 

But imagine the cliffhanger, if X3 ends with Phoenix turning into Dark Phoenix. Sweeeet...

Undeniably sweet! The whole Pheonix thing was one of the coolest things ever to happen in X-men. Still, I don't think it will happen in this film. This is getting a bit spoilerish, but I reckon she will go dark quite early on in the film, and then sort of snap out of it towards the end, before doing something amazing that kills the Pheonix force, or something like that.

The plans were for the X-Men series to be a trilogy. BUT you know if this one makes money, then the Movie exec will ride the coat tails until they can go no further.

Anyone who posts on a site dedicated to WOT should know that a trilogy isn't always a trilogy

 

From the looks of it, X3 will be bigger, better and stronger than the two previous films, so I think it's safe to assume it's going to make a Lot of money.

 

Question is what they would do a 4th film about. Age of Apocalypse? Inferno? Mutant Massacre? Or create a completely new storyline, independent from the comic books?

On the topic of trilogies, there is part 1 of a trilogy coming out soon and it looks very odd, but possibly very interesting. Its a Russian film called Nochnoi Dozor (The Night Watch). It looks like it could be a bit like a well scripted, directed and produced version of Constantine, but a lot darker and more sinister. Anyway, check out the trailers and let me know what you think.

Uhm, describing it by comparing it to Constantine doesn't exactly make me want to see it. That movie sucked.

True, but what I was trying to get at was that it could be Constantine, but good instead of poo. Lets face it, taking Keanu Reeves out of a film automatically makes it more enjoyable.

Just saw the trailer for the new Steve Carell film a few weeks ago. Look hilarious. Called "Little Miss Sunshine"

 

It's in limited release right now and I think it comes out at the end of July. Can't wait.
