I Love Mariah Carey

You want to know why?

 

I'm guessing the answer to that question is no. But sorry Bandies, it was rhetorical. 

 

I love Mariah because she's been one of my favorite artists since I was still in school.  Way way back back back back in the day.  I loved Hero, Dreamlover, and even before that Vision of Love.  The woman's been making hits since forever.  But that's not the reason I so love her right now.  I love her because she's never let me down.  I've loved many different artists over the year. Kurupt, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Nickleback, Rascal Flats,  they've all at some point dissapointed me.  Either with horrible albums (snoop, nickleback, rascal flats) or just not doing studio work for extended periods of time (eminem, Kurupt)  Mariah hasn't really done me dirty in either of those respects.  Sure she has gone a couple years without a new record but really no longer than that.  And everything MC puts out is just straight fire.  I've been listening to the E=MC squared quite a bit lately, and I'm still astounded by so many of the tracks I thoroughly enjoy.  Sure she's adapted her style quite a bit from her beginnings, and yes I think she may have lost a little bit of her vocal range, but she's still amazing.  I care not that she's crazy, nor that she married Nick Cannon of all people.  I love that woman's music.  The only other group I would say even stays with her as far as entertaining me over the years is Bon Jovi.  They however are not nearly as prolific as Mariah.  So I officially state my undying love for her here on this, the music board.
