Anything similar to aSoIaF out there?

I've read through quite a few fantasy series and a lot are very similar. The only one that truly stands out as being different is George RR Martins a song of ice and fire. I was just wondering if there is anything out there similar to this? I like the adult themed content he uses. I feel fantasy is lacking in that area and if anybody could recoomend something more mature in the fantasy genre I would appreciate it.
