February is Service Project Month for the White Tower!

Each February, the White Tower chooses a service project to champion.  Last year was the first time we changed our goals from differing Ajah goals to one united Organization goal.  Last year we donated books to a school's library.  This year we are aiming a bit higher.

 

In 2008, in honor of our beloved favorite author, we are banding together to donate funds to the Mayo Clinic for Amyloidosis Research.  The project is simple.  The White Tower is gathering monetary donations in one single Paypal account for the entire month of February.  Once donations close, we will be sending the whole of the donation amount to the Mayo Clinic as earmarked for Amyloidosis Research.  Here is an opportunity for you to donate to a very worthy cause.  Please join us in this endeavor.  Any amounts donated are welcome.  Those who are still working on being raised to an upper level of the Organization will be eligible for credit towards that goal no matter how little the donation. 

 

Secondly, another opportunity to gain credit and to participate in our event will be through writing.  This is an open assignment.  You may write an essay on Amyloidosis; write a letter to a newspaper about Amyloidosis; you may start and participate in a discussion on Amyloidosis; you may also write a letter to a child who is presently in St. Jude's Hospital for any kind of treatment.  The writing assignment is flexible and is for anyone who is less prepared to send a monetary donation.
