Becoming part of the ajah and other tradition sugestions

All ajah's got their traditions and customs...which is kind of neat..no reason we shouldnt as well

 

- from the books we know we have a way of communicating through placing stuff on sertaint places...much like other ajah's...

- building on that...network? we know in all ajah's each sister got her own nettwork but in addition the ajah have one of their own...we know the sisters in the black share info like heads of other ajahs and such...but how would it work...would say one of the council be in particular responsible to collect this from the BA nettwork and sisters?

 

-uptake in the ajah is simply solved through the way the new intro is written...the council could/would get the knowledge of new DFs from the DO and could set a new sister up with a heart

 

- other sugestions...identification marks in case two unknown to eachother meet and gain an understanding that they are out in the same errand...a way to prove it so neither is called out by a lightfriend (signal or something?)

 

well i dunno just throwing out random ideas...and hope to start a brainstorming that can give us some new stuff to work with and get some speed in rps and such from *s* to have some fun

I think there were certain signals that were used to indicate that you're either just a darkfriend, a black sister or a member of the supreme council. I guess you could learn these upon swearing to the dark lord, and they would be pretty safe in case you had to identify yourself as BA to another BA member in front of a pair of lightfools.

nods i assumed as much what i mean is should we make up what they are...to have an info base of traditions and such and avoid future rp confusions when we suddenly need them...all the other ajah's got treads of history and traditions to get info from and I think we should too

One thing that was mentioned in the books was a hand signal - when Halima/Aran'gar comes to Delana, she does a particular hand signal to indicate she is Black Ajah (though of course, she wasn't, but it was referred to as a Black signal). It was something along the lines of a fist held flush against the thigh with the thumb thrust between two fingers. I can't remember the specifics, and my prior life is still in boxes in the next room over, so I can't check for reference... yay for STILL not being in our home yet!

Another thing that we might want to think out is where our special message hiding places are. I would think there is a different spot for each person (say, if X Sedai in your heart needs to leave a message, it's under Y rug, and if Z Sedai needs to leave a message, it's behind ZZ book,etc), and perhaps keep a loose list of such.

personal msg hiding places between sisters i would think they can work out and we can list them

 

but we also should have some places that any sister can say put something to report to say the council, as well as some place that there is maybe in a good place some curtains that have these decorative bonds around them where the knots on bands can be changed to generaly signalise danger - lay low to the whole ajah if something happened and such things *s*

Mmm, that also would be awesome. I believe such was implied in the books, so would definetly rule to have something like that sorted out.
