There was a lot more to Force powers than what you got to see in movies.  :P

One of the trump cards was Absorb/Dissipate Energy.  Vader used that power to absorb Han's blaster shots, then used the power absorbed to pull it out of his hand in Cloud City.  Can you imagine what fueling that power with Balefire would do?  Sheesh...

The big problem in any Aes Sedai vs Jedi is simple.  Aes Sedai draw on the One Power, made of 5 types of elemental threads.  Jedi draw on the very essence of life, The Force. The resulting manifestation is more of a psychic power than the elemental one that the One Power is.

Nope, sorry.  Jedi routinely move Proton Torpedoes around with their minds even in Star Wars...See New Jedi Era book series.  If Yoda can move a starship...you know, Size Matters Not?...a Jedi could force punch the Enterprise out of the star system.  ;D

Now, an Aes Sedai with a Jedi warder....that's another thing entirely.

You MUST remember...you have to be able to see to channel.  A Jedi can simply Force Blind the AS and anything she's even started to do would dissipate.

Of course, the best defense would be: "I am not the Jedi you are looking for."  *handwave*
