  1. I've actually thought a lot about this very thing.  I just finished a reread and it just doesn't sit well with me.  It bothers me very very very much.  Obviously at least Moiraine and Nynaeve know he's a Forsaken and I can't remember if anyone else knows his face but it doesn't really matter again because of Nynaeve and Moiraine.  Nynaeve even comments about how it's not fair that Rand is dying and Moridin is getting better.  So she must have known that he would wake soon.  Under every circumstance possible, there would be multiple Aes Sedai even Asha'man working in shifts to shield and guard Moridin.  Now my guess is that they tried this but Moridin/Rand can't channel anymore so they assumed that he was burned out in the fight at Shayol Ghul.  That's perfectly understandable even though we never get that impression from Nynaeve's POV.  But even if he can't channel, I'm sure the Aes Sedai would love nothing more than to interrogate Moridin so why leave him unguarded at all.  Soldier or Warders should be guarding his body.  He's still dangerous even though he can't channel anymore.

AND...here's the zinger:  Does Alivia know that Rand switched bodies and if so, how does she know?

  2. Did anyone else pick up on Androl reflecting on his past and mentioning his relation to someone named Jain?  Androl keeps his past pretty close to his chest.  Could he be Jain Farstrider's son or friend?

On another note.  Logain's role in the last book was kind of Lo-lame!  His pent up anger and aggression seemed a bit forced.  His character was gone from the books for so long and then reappears with all of this new emotion that we never saw before.  I think he should have been focused on a bit more and Androl a bit less.  I do agree that some of the more known Asha'man (Grady, Neald, Naeff, Narishma, etc..) should have gotten some more of the face time.  The only problem was they weren't at the BT.  We really didn't know any of the Asha'man there because the goings on there were kept quiet.

  3. I believe Peririn makes a comment in the beginning of TSR warning Rand/Mat of Egwene.  He say something to the effect of, "She forgotten where she's come from more than anyone one of us." It stuck with me through the whole series.  She was the only Emond's Field character who almost never thought back to her home and past.  It says a lot about her and always intrigued me.

That being said, I like Egwene's character.  She won me over during her captivity in the White Tower and during the Seanchan attack.
