  1. OOC: Hope noone minds me joining in so late, I wont interupt just watch:)

    IC:

Logan stood by the front door his eyes never resting. Every so often one of his men would casually stroll by the door giving him the signal for all clear, but others watching. The slight hand signal would never be seen by anyone else and it was never the same man that walked past. The nonsense that was going on inside was giving him a headache. Why talk about it and discuss it with anyone, especially someone who could care less about you?

Shifting his feet he gave the signal to rotate to the next soldier that walked past.

He was sure that this talking was going to lead to nothing but a huge battle. Carnhain exploded at one time and Logan was sure that he was going to have to kill again.

Fighting down the flash backs Logan..... and with a quick twist starting at his waist the head rolled off...... returned his full attention back to the matter at hand.

  2. OOC: You're not following my posts dude, I hit you on top of the head and rushed in, where was there time to talk to Carnhain? Oh, its Logan not Logain.

IC: Barely blocking the strike of Rowul's axe and spinning Logan gave him a quick kick in the rear sending the man sprawling on his stomach.

When Rowul rose he rushed hacking speratically with his axe. This was not difficult to steer clear of for Logan or any man of his skill. In the midst of one of Rowul's strikes the man overextended and put to much force into it which put the man off balance. Logan took this moment tripping the man up with a sweep to the legs.

When Rowul rolled over to rush up again Logan rushed in with a quick kick to the face and another to kick the man's axe from his grip.

Holding his longsword to the man's throat Logan said, "If you forfeit I will extend mercy, if not I will continue the beating, even if you are down."

OOC:Ramza hefted a blunted ax adn experimented with the weight then tossed it asside, going throught the few that were there he smiled and fond one to his liking, though it had to heads he should do alright with it.

"Well then sergeant i hope you like bruises for i shall be giving them to you in plenty."

You dont have a knife, it was never mentioned as a weapon"

  3. Pulling Carnhain to his feet Logan said, "We will get back to those later, twenty is not enough. Now I want you to work your tricepts. The bar in front of you is only fourty pounds in weight, with both hands fists facing out pick it up to chest level slowly letting it fall back to your waist, do this slowly so you work your muscles to the furthest extent." After explaining this Logan did twenty reps showing Carnhain how to do this.

"Now before you do this I want you to hydrate. Drink this twenty ounce bottle to the bottom. It has some of the snakeoil in it."

  4. Logan glanced at his lower stomach that had a nice scratch from his opponents belt knife and smiled widely. Rowul was just standing there staring at him.

Closing in with Rowul again it seemed that Rowul knew the trick of calming himself down although at times he seemed a little confused at the smile Logan sported at all times.

Gliding with the axeman, using the sword as if it were an extention of his own body Logan spun all quickly letting the big man rush right past him.

Using the flat of his sword he struck the man as hard as he could atop the head.

Calmly Logan wiped the smile from his face and rushed in for the killing blow.......

    Logan

  5. "Well then sergeant i hope you like bruises for i shall be giving them to you in plenty."

With that Ramza saluted and rushed the Logan, slicing, hacking and fiegning all the time.

Gliding easily out of the way Logan began to almost dance with the axeman. In a miscalculation he barely blocked a slash to the shoulders, but got a good kick in the stomach.

Stumbling back Logan took a deep breath and focused again. This time he rushed gliding from one position to another while Rowul was barely blocking the onslaught.

Taking a step back he blocked a slash that would have taken his head from his shoulders.

Forcing down the anger that shot up he poured his emotion into his skill.

    Rushing.......

OOC:Go with it dude doesnt matter who wins but id like to keep it intersesting.

    Logan

  6. sounds like all good ideas to me. But if we do a reset why not have everyone work towards being the main characters instead of designating people to play the roles of Rand, Mat, Perrin, ect.

Take freelanders for example, a King can have alot of sway over what happens within a story line. Look at Artur Hawkwing. He was nothing but a King that knew what he was doing on the battlefield.

    Just food for thought.

    Logan

  7. Before Kedyn could respond Logan saw Carnhain and Mehrin walking towards the trench. Stripping off his shirt, Carnhain prepared himself with a sick look on his face.

Dropping the shovel Logan walked to the edge and stood silently watching when Rowul stripped down. His body a mass of scars, he asked "any of you boys feel like a stand up fight???" Thinking quietly to himself Logan shook his head, "Sure I'm up for a fight."

Loosing his shirt Logan walked up to the table and picked up a long sword. Though it was dull he knew that they would still hurt and cut.

Waving it around stretching his body, Logan flexed his mass of muscles preparing himself.

Preparing in his mind, draining all emotion into a bright cold flame, he waited floating in the void he created in his mind.

    Logan

  8. Logan was sitting crosslegged a few yards from the site of the trench quietly watching the work, going over things in his mind.

In the distance he saw Carnhain approach the commander who was seated on the ground.

Slightly smiling from Carnhain's abrupt change of facial expressions, Logan knew what had just traversed.

He had heard alot about this trench, and the things that had happened. Or maybe just the rumors.

Standing up, Logan walked to the trench, picked up a shovel and asked Kedyn, "Need a hand?"

    Logan

  9. OOC: Sorry Estel Ive been really busy for a while, but if its alright with you we can pick this back up.

Ic: "Today we are going to work on more of your abs and arms not so much legs and chest. If you switch up the muscles you are working on it gives the others time to rebuild."

Pointing at the pullup bar Logan said, "Get to slow and steady."

    Logan Zaire

  10. As Carnhain collapsed at Logan's feet he handed him a skin of water with a little extra something in it.

"That weird taste in the water is called snake oil, its from a plant and will help ease the pain in your mussles. It will also help your mussles bind back together from the excersize allowing you to build mussle faster. And no it is not poisoness," Logan explained as Carnhain looked like he was going to spit the water out.

"You did very well but we push harder tomorrow and from here on out we focus on upper body one day the next lower. You will be tired and drained every day but you will certainly benifit. Now lets go get some grubb, so you can hit the sak. Remember to stretch before and after you go to bed or you wont be able to move tommorow."

As Logan was talking diffent things over with Carnhain about tommorrow he broke off with a shake of the hand and a "I want you back at the training yard before first light, sleep well."

    Logan

  11. Logan aproached just as Carnhain was finishing. Daruun jumped on the bench going at a fast rythm. "You did very well for someone that is built slimmer. The idea is not to hesitate, even when you are holding it above your head and your arms are locked and it doesnt feel like you are using a lot of energy you are. If you keep up a steady pace you can lift more, not fast but steady."

"Watch Daruun, Logan explained. He started out to fast and will tire quickly, even if he is used to lifting a lot." With that Daruun put up his weights with the help of Logan.

"Lunch? Lunch would be nice. That and a cold ale. Carnhain said.

"Not yet lets get a good cool down run and stretches in, Logan said with a glance backwards as he took off at a steady gait."

    Logan

  12. In mid sentence Logan interupted Toth. "Not to be rude Toth, but in your explanation you never mentioned anything about fog. But since you are now controlling the weather why not have a small symbol painted on dark clothes, something that only your men will recognize and know where to find it. White will still stick out even in fog. I do agree as I mentioned that soldiering men are superstitious but the white clothes, armour and weapons is a trick that has been used for centuries and most men see trickery when it is used."

"Know as for the hill top fort, sometimes all you can use is what the creator has provided, no if ands or buts about it. Now as for the attacking army, does it really make sense at what you said? How do you know exactly how large the enemies resources are and for that matter how large your own are. Maybe your country isnt large at all. Think about it."

OOC: Sorry Toth I love tactics as well and I suppose you could say I am an expert at it. Thats all I can say on that subject though. (Classified)

  13. Logan listened to Toth's bout then stood up.

"I have a few questions for you Toth, one is why would you paint your men white? That would give you away the second you stepped into view and it would also close your men's pours making them sufficate and possibly die. The men need to sweat. The second question, no its not a question, the building of the fort is a good idea but I think that the enemy would know about it and then attack before you had a fraction built. You need to use natural formations for something like that."

"The next question is why send your ally to attack the enemies country. Most if not all commanders of leaders of a country will keep enough reinforcments back to take care of any threats such as these. The best thing would be to have them reinforce you. Your country is the one in trouble after all. Plus the way information is spread the enemy could have killed you and everyone in it before they learned about their own country being attacked."

"As for the razing there are very few leaders who will destroy their own city. You would loose the support of the citizens and loose the want to retake it. Razing is something an attacking army does, not the defending."

After he was finished Logan sat down waiting for any replies.

    Logan

  14. Being helped to his feet, Logan quietly thanked the unknown face.

"It seems I will live to fight another day," he said to himself.

Holding his arm and limping he fought back the swarming black specs in his vision and slowly made his way to form the ranks. It seems quite a few men had died in this evil battle.

Thinking a prayer for the dead Logan hobbled back with the remainer of the Band to the Citadel were he found himself in the medic building to get stitched up.

Holding his head high and gritting his teeth he counted the mental ticks in his head for all the men he had slain. Praying and crying inside he retired to the barracks.

    Logan

  16. Once Logan was done with himself, if that is what he could call it, Logan went from stance to stance loosing himself in bloodshed.

Finding Intar after his battle with himself, on horseback again Logan yelled, "Exciting isn't it. A battle gets my blood pumping so much that I loose track of myself."

Running up to another shadow, this one very familiar. Jumping into 'Heron Wading in the Water' he fought this man with as much skill as he could muster. The flowing of the forms, metal ringing on metal was very calming. The man was good but Logan was just a bit better, at the moment.

Logan didnt come out of this fight unscathed. Before he took the man's head, his opponent cut him good on his right leg and took a good chunk from his left arm. Bleeding profusely Logan struck with all his might breaking his opponents sword and taking his head with one quick motion.

Staggering Logan glanced around before collapsing on the ground..........

    Logan

  17. Logan was running down the street, longsword strapped to his back when he saw Ingtar mount up and gallop to the front lines with barely a wave.

Joining the infantry just in time to start marching towards Emond's Field, Logan was still sweat streaked and shirtless. The march didnt take long but during that time Logan learned what was going on.

"Shadows," Logan exclaimed when he was told. "How is that possible, a shadow killing someone?"

Logan found out just how true it was especially when he saw himself running around. The dark braids with the bells on a man who is short but more than muscular, and noone has that same sword, noone."

Half breaking rank, but still in configuration Logan stepped calmly to engage........himself. In a split second he went from 'cat crossing the courtyard' to 'snagging the apple from the tree' and met the shadow longsword with longsword. Twisting Logan lunged, barely missing his opponent with 'a flick of the tongue' but catching his tendon in his ankle with a backslash.

After his opponent tried to take a step and fell on his face Logan stepped over top of him and ran him through. Turning around Logan looked for anyother familiar faces.

    Logan

  18. After Ingtar was finished with his senerio Logan stood and began his own.

"Because I love the mountains I will stage my senerio in the mountains. The enemy about 20,000 strong has taken two of the three major cities in my kingdom. The last and the capital is located deep in a valley surrounded by forests. The mountains are to rugged for anyone to travel down without killing themselves so a threat from the sides is non existent. They could attack from the front or rear of the valley, but to the rear is an anchient ally. The only good decision would be from the front.

The first thing I do is send my cavalry out and around to flank the enemy while my infantry and bowmen to keep them from advancing. While out the cavalry breaks their supply train and attacks with hit and run techniques. The bowmen are arranged on the sides of the opening of the valley and behind the infantry. This not only sucks them in to the opening but creates havack once the cavalry starts to attack in full force. If I should run into any trouble my ally is thier with his men.

While all of this is going on the scouts that arent doing what scouts do are armed and retaking the lost cities. The enemy would have to pull all of his manpower from the cities in order to attack someone even half his strength given the circumstances. So the scouts job should be fairly easy. The same goes for the supply lines, very little guards if any. The fight should be over fairly quickly."

    Logan sat awaiting Shep's reply.

    Logan

  19. After Ingtar was done with his presentation, Logan began his again.

"Location is still the key, if you aren't in a place that you can find food by hunting or whatever it might be it needs to be easily supplied. A direct route for supply caravans is best."

Turning to Ingtar and bowing his head Logan went on, "Refering to what Ingtar had said, even camped I would put out advanced scouts to watch any enemies. Reporting back to the watch commander every few hours would also be a requirement. I would also put Archers up in the trees were they would not be seen but could see everything that moves. Closer to the camp I would make sure that groups of five to ten infantry men were patroling, checking in at vulnerable defencive stations. These stations would be places that an enemy would most likley attack."

"As for morale and rations, nothing cheers a man more than a woman, beer and music. I know that these things depend alot upon the situation that the battalion is in, but if time alots it give each man some time off to himself in a rotating schedule."

"Rations depend alot on what is available and that also effects morale."

    Logan
