Love these what ifs WoT is full of tiny decisions that could’ve unraveled the whole Pattern. If Perrin didn’t return to the Two Rivers, I think the Whitecloaks would’ve wiped the place out and his entire “Lord Goldeneyes” arc (and Faile’s too) never happens. Mat not taking the Shadar Logoth dagger basically rewrites his whole life no healing in Tar Valon, maybe no Finns, maybe no foxhead medallion. And if Rand failed to cleanse saidin, the Asha’man probably collapse under madness and the Last Battle becomes almost impossible to win. It's wild how close the story comes to spinning in a completely different direction.
