HIV is still to this day an overwhelmingly gay male epidemic. I know it hurts feelings to learn the truth, but I think it's important to learn the facts and not be afraid to click the CDC link. The last decade or two has seen a narrative of not hurting anyone's feelings and that's probably why most people are blind to actual statistics. African American homosexual males are 50% likely to have HIV in their lifetime. That's a staggering statistic compared to their heterosexual counterparts. I think it's important to know and profess the truth so that hopefully as a better informed society we can do something to make a change to prevent this from being the truth in the future.
