“The Wheel of Time” is a fantasy genre story of truly epic scope and breathtaking depth. Enough so that it has its own enjoyable-all-on-its-own companion reference book “The World of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time.”
The story is one of personal and global struggle against the forces of evil in a fractured world still rebuilding from the disasters of a previous war thousands of years in the past. Humanity then existed in peace and unity with levels of magical and technological advancement so far beyond the “present” as to seem impossible to those “now” living.
I would happily recommend this series to anyone who loves a good essay writers story and doesn’t look down their nose at fantasy.
